After great thought and discussions, the SCKA Board of Directors are excited to announce we are going to return to Munfordville, Kentucky on September 18 & 19, 2026 for our Annual Gathering and 2nd Elite Sheep Sale.

Gonna be a bunch of really good Katahdin rams at the Munfordville Elite Katahdin Sale this Saturday! Watch for these two big long-yearling rams from Happy Hills Genetics. They weighed 240 and 260 this morning and are ready for a big job!

SCKA members who are planning to attend the KHSI Expo in Evansville the end of July? I'm looking for 2 more people to form our SCKA team for the Lamb Cookoff. KHSI will provide everything needed. If you attended last year, this was the highlight of the event.

Our 25th Annual Gathering held in New Albany, MS is now over and had a great time....Friday evening was dedicated to Mark Dennis, the founding father of SCKA and a great mentor. The board presented him with a plaque for his dedication to the SCKA and the Katahdin breed after a history of the start of the organization. On
Saturday we had some awesome speakers and a luncheon of lamb tacos which everyone seem to enjoy. A few changes to our by-laws were approved and adopted by the membership. We also had an election of new board members for 2025 which comprises of:

Jean Adams, Treasurer
George Pettig, Secretary
Clifford Spraberry, Director at Large
