Fresh Impact

Fresh Impact At Fresh Impact, our philosophy is simple: marketing doesn’t have to be complicated. After two years of treatment, I had to ask: What’s next?

We meet clients where they are, design strategies that fit their goals & budgets, & give them the tools and confidence to grow their business through digital marketing. At 40, I faced a life-changing diagnosis: triple-negative breast cancer with only a 30% chance of survival. Nursing had been my calling and my gift, but cancer reshaped my priorities. I wanted to align my life and work with impact,

purpose, and relationships. That search led me to discover social media management and digital marketing. With my background in healthcare, coaching, and education, the skillsets clicked. In 2015, I launched Fresh Impact Social Media—a boutique marketing agency helping businesses grow their visibility online. Since then, my mission has been clear: simplify marketing so business owners can focus on what they do best. Just as patients often overcomplicate health and nutrition, many entrepreneurs overcomplicate social media. I cut through the noise, design strategies that work, and help businesses make a measurable impact. What Fresh Impact Offers

You don't have a content problem.

You have a decision problem.
Most business owners don't run out of things to say - they run out of a system for deciding what to say and when.

Here's the fix: every post you'll ever need falls into one of 5 content buckets. Rotate through them, and you'll never stare at a blank caption box again.

Swipe to see all 5, and save this post so you can come back to it every Monday.

This is exactly what we covered in this week's training inside the Fresh Impact Get It Done Marketing Club. Every week, one practical skill. No fluff, no overwhelm - just what actually works.

If more than one of these hit home, you're not alone; most small business owners are in the same boat. The fix isn't posting more. It's getting clear on what you're actually trying to accomplish first.

Save this for your next content-planning session. Which one hit hardest? Tell me below.

In marketing club last week, we ran a club member’s website through an AI tool.

It gave her 23 recommendations for improvement.

She looked at the list and immediately felt worse about her business than she did before we started.

And that is the problem with AI feedback.

It’s not necessarily wrong. But it’s also not prioritized.

It treats every issue like it carries the same weight, and it doesn’t know your business well enough to tell you what actually matters most.

If you’ve been getting overwhelmed by AI-generated audits, here’s what I’d do:

Pick the ONE thing that, if you fixed it today, would matter most to a potential client landing on your site.

Do that.
Ignore the other 22 things for now.

Because tools are tools.
Your judgment is still the strategy.

Your next client isn't waiting to discover you on social media.

They're opening Google. They're asking AI. And if your Google Business Profile isn't set up right, you're invisible to both.

This week inside the Fresh Impact Get It Done Marketing Club, our members did a deep dive on Google Business Profile — what a complete profile looks like, why it matters for AI search, and the simple updates you can make today to start showing up where clients are actually looking.

We do this every Monday. One practical marketing skill. No hype, no overwhelm — just what actually works for small business owners.

On my to-do list today: review the backend of my social media platforms.

That means logging into Meta Business Suite and checking two things:

Who currently has access to my business accounts?

And whose accounts do I still have access to?

For former clients I haven’t worked with in more than six months, I’m removing my access when I have permission to do so. When I don’t, I’ll be sending a quick email asking them to remove me.

Regularly auditing account access helps:

• Reduce the risk of unauthorized changes or security breaches
• Protect client and business information
• Keep account permissions clean, current, and limited to the people who truly need them

Many of us have invested years of time, energy, and money building our social media presence. We shouldn’t leave the security of those accounts to chance.

What are you waiting for?

Go review your account access today—or put it on your calendar to complete soon.

It’s a small task that can prevent a much bigger problem.

This morning, during our Get It Done Club marketing session, a club member asked me why her website isn’t converting.

Here’s what I told her:
Most websites don’t convert the way we think they should.
Not yours.
Not mine.
Not even the beautiful ones that cost five figures.

Because most people are not ready to buy the first time they find you.
They’re usually not ready the second or third time either.

What your website does need to do is confirm what someone already suspects about you after they’ve seen you somewhere else.
Maybe they found you on Instagram.
Maybe they heard about you from a friend.
Maybe they saw your name come up in a conversation.
Maybe they’ve been quietly watching for a while.

Then they go to your website and ask:
“Is this person legit?”
“Do I trust them?”
“Do they understand what I need?”
“Can I see myself working with them?”

That’s the real job of your website.

Not to magically turn every visitor into a buyer.

But to build trust, answer questions, and make the next step clear.

So if you’re treating your website like it should do all the selling for you, you’re probably going to feel frustrated.

But if you treat it like a credibility check and a trust-builder, you’ll know exactly what needs to be fixed.

Make it clear.
Make it helpful.
Make it easy to take the next step.

That’s where conversion really starts.

Want help simplifying your website, content, and marketing?

That’s exactly what we talk through inside the Get It Done Marketing Club.

Most weekends, you'll find me at a hockey rink cheering on my grandkids.

(And yes, helping them get into their gear if mom & dad aren't there. If you've never tried to put a small child into full hockey equipment before 7 AM, just know: there should be a medal for it.)

Watching them play is what got me into hockey. And watching the Milano 2026 Olympics this year is what gave me a business epiphany I didn't see coming.

I wrote about it on the blog. It's a little different from my usual posts, but if you've ever felt like you're in a slow season and wondered when the results are going to show up... I think you'll relate.
