TallGrass Public Relations is searching for a PR & Social Media Strategist to implement Media strategies for our company and external clients. We move fast, and you'll work with a team on 4-6 accounts at any given time and across many verticals (marketing, financial services, business, insurance, healthcare and tech to name a few). You will be thoroughly involved in developing overall client strategies, including identifying and pitching target media, developing timelines as well as managing key program tactics building to our clients’ ultimate success. We encourage creativity, outside-the-box thinking and ability to proactively generate story ideas and pitch angles.
The primary job duties include:
Develop and execute client management process, reporting, and documentation
Reviewing and updating all social platforms daily
Maintain active and engaging social presence
Evaluate social media technologies to assess if new approaches would be applicable
Develop and maintain ongoing content and social calendars that are up-to-date and consistent with branding and messaging
Ensure online content adheres to latest SEO best practices
Utilize and react to all social platform statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Grow our presence through social media platforms
Ensure brand and identity are represented according to company policies
Write and proofread original content
Requirements:
Has strong public relations, project management, organizational, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills.
Has an innate understanding of digital innovation and social media and the power they represent for communicating to our client’s audiences.
Monitors news coverage, trends and competitors to bring new opportunities and ideas to client teams.
Thrives in a constantly changing environment. Inspires other team members to deliver great work, day in and day out.
1-3 years of experience working with Social Media on behalf of a company
1-3 years of public relations or media experience
Maintains excellent writing and language skills in English.
Experience in video editing and communication with an audience through video a plus
Maintains a working knowledge of SEO principles including keyword research. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social"
Applicant must have strong organizational, project management and planning skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented and reliable with a creative approach
