Marketing Tip Monday!

So you built a website, you followed all the rules, got the fancy photos, the whole 9 yards and it did great for a while, but now maybe your traffic is stalling, you’re not getting as many email sign ups or leads as you used to, or maybe your online sales are slowing down. The rest of your marketing is top notch so why is your site not performing as well as it used to?

If you have not continuously updated your SEO then that could be the culprit. Websites, like gardens, require continous care and maintenance to keep them up to date.

That includes feeding your website the relevant content that allows Google to present your website to others.

As a project manager there are 3 crucial things I am looking for when working with a business:

1. The Problem - If I can identify any problems with a project early on and address it immediately then managing the project becomes much less messy and a smoother experience for everyone involved.

2. The People- Having the right people for projects is crucial, I love to help business owners identify the right people to work on their projects and make an effort to call out people who are doing good work.

3 The process - The simpler the better in my book! I love utilizing single sheet tools or Asana to distill essential information to all the relevant people on a project.

3. Be Willing to try - We are professional problem solvers, which means we are going to suggest you try some things you haven’t done before. Be willing to try different things that could help your business thrive.

I once worked for a business that said, if there are no systems, then we are not a team and if we are not a team then we do not have a business.

They said that because they spent years with very few systems and their team struggled to develop a cohesive relationship and as a result every aspect of their business struggled.

What actually is “Business Coaching,” anyways? We personally like to say that we are building your yellow brick road to success as a business owner, while one of our clients has called it her monthly “business therapy.”

What it actually is, is an opportunity for you to have two calls per month where we set an agenda ahead of our call to identify any challenges you might be having with your business and spend the time on our call creating solutions to those challenges.

Challenges or problems can be anything! A few examples of problems we’ve helped clients navigate are:
- Establishing a project management tool for an internal marketing team
- Creating and implementing contracts for a boarders and lesson clients at
- Developing an event planning tool and template for a bookstore that consistently hosts in store events
- Helping clients navigate re-brands, employee/team training and being general sounding boards for ideas
