Early on, as the publisher’s representative for the Outdoor News Publications, Bast-Durbin regularly worked with product representatives, regional and national sales managers, and marketing managers from many of the industry’s leading brands. spects—from creative concept to accounting. Over time, our trusted relationship with manufacturers led some to ask Bast-Durbin for further assistance in all aspects of their marketing needs. As a result, in 1998, Bast-Durbin took its experience from the publishing world and became a full-service ad agency, achieving tangible results for its roster of clients through focused and effective creative material; efficient and cost-effective media planning; and second-to-none media/public relations efforts. Having first worked at the “street” level with these brand reps and marketing managers in support of their retail base, Bast-Durbin is in a unique position, both regionally and nationally, to understand the outdoor consumer from the ground up. Better yet, they know how to reach that consumer from the ground up. And, as diehard hunting and fishing fanatics in their own right, they find themselves to be in the “end-consumer” position just as often as the next guy – a fact not to be overlooked when working within an industry where “faking it” won’t get you far. Wyatt's Great Adventure!

BDA's Wyatt Michaud, Digital Content Specialist (and our in-house archery assassin), excelled in his first experience shooting at the Archery Shooter's Association (ASA) tournament in London, Kentucky last week.

Shooting Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning, he carded a 4th place finish out of 140 participants in his "Known 40 - Men's" class. An incredible debut!

Wyatt, an experienced tournament shooter in the Wisconsin archery club circuit, shares, "It was roughly a 9 hour drive from SE Wisconsin; through Illinois, Indiana, and then into London, Kentucky. The event was the largest I've ever attended for archery with more ranges than you could shake a stick at. The London site is known for being very dark with targets that are extremely hard to see. Fortunately, the ranges I shot on had very even lighting for most of the targets, and I lucked out with a great group to shoot with! Overall, a great experience; I learned a ton over the 4 days and I am excited to go to another! I'll be heading to Metropolis, IL in a few weeks for another ASA tournament, and will move up to the "Known 45 - Men's" class."

New creative joins the Bast Durbin team...

{Slinger, WI} - Bast Durbin Advertising (BDA) has added a new creative; Todd Wolff, to help spark chemistry between brands and people.

The addition of Wolff allows for better direct-to-creative access for clients and enhance creative outcomes for all involved. Over his years in the industry, he’s worked with a variety of major brands, including: Pepsi, Harley Davidson, Humminbird, Frabill, Mercury Marine, Miller Brewing and many others.

Bast-Durbin’s, Wyatt Michaud, takes podium at WI State Indoor Archery Tournament

Patience and persistence paid off for competitive archer, Wyatt Michaud, at the recent Wisconsin Archery Alliance State Indoor event, held 2/11-2/13. The 26-year-old Michaud led the event in the amateur division with a perfect 300 60X on day 1 and followed up with a 300 58X on day 2 to take the second position on the final podium. The NFAA sanctioned event is Wisconsin’s premier indoor archery tournament, attracting the top shooters from around the state. Michaud competed in the highly competitive Amateur Male Freestyle category.
