The irony is, 95% of people I know are doing nothing to build their dreams, not even to find out what their dream is!

So many people are working so hard getting a job, getting next month’s pay check, when they have a job they worry about what their bosses and colleagues think and when they are getting a promotion or a 5% raise.

If you are in that situation, don’t forget you have dreams yourself and that ultimately they need to be taken care of. Don’t let ten years of 40 -50 hour weeks pass until you realize you made everybody else rich and happy but yourself.

Just a couple of things that made me happy when I started building my own dreams.

1. I'm following my passion.
2. Achieving financial independence.
3. I control my lifestyle and my schedule.
4. I started from scratch.
5. I get to be creative.

Which of these 5 rules of business growth most align with you right now?

1. Taking full responsibility for where you and your business are in the moment?
2. Recognizing if your current beliefs are creating an abundant mentality or an excuse mentality?
3. No longer seeing investing as a luxury for your business but a necessity for growth?
4. Remembering that your growth is not a competition with anyone else?
5. Identifying how you are holding spaces for your business to grow or actually keeping your business safe where it is?

I truly use these as a reminder that when you are building and growing your business there are so many components that matter.

It is integral to embody your CEO decision making, CEO mindset and CEO actions. You are not an employee of your business, you Run the business.

There’s an old saying that you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Essentially it means that we have to take care of ourselves in order to take care of others. With so little time between work and caring for our families, who has the time or even the energy for something like “self-care?”

The number of new small business owners and entrepreneurs is rising every day, and prioritizing your self-care is an integral part of success. When was the last time you took some time off for self-care? What did you do and how did you feel?

How can I add more self-care to my routine?

No matter what you do with your life — whether you go to college or fine tune your craft; build a business or climb the corporate ladder; get married or sail through the world solo — some people will support you, while others will criticize your choices and doubt your ability to succeed.

"You can choose to listen to the skeptics, or hit the ignore button," you only need one person to believe in you. Guess what, that one person is YOU!

I’ve got a life hack coming your way!

Ready for it? Just like our phones and computers need to be turned off and updated every once in a while, so do WE!

That’s right, sometimes the best way to stay fresh is by unplugging! I’m taking my own advice by putting my phone down (unless it's for business) and stepping outside for some fresh air/grabbing my camera, and seeing where my journey takes me. How about you? What helps you feel refreshed?
