This sunset is a good reminder of a few things we often forget:

1. The world does not revolve around you. Everyone is struggling with something, be kind.

2. Enjoy the little things. We hear this all the time, but you never know what will happen tomorrow, so make the most of right now.

3. The same God who created this sunset thought the world needed one of you too. You have a purpose.

4. We serve an incredible God who gives us grace and blessings we don’t deserve. Stay humble, stay thankful.

Reality vs. social media 😝

Never forget that what you see at a horse show is typically top level performance from a horse that has required hours of ugly, frustration, and training behind the scenes.

Trust the process - it will all come together!

Spurs serve a very special purpose when riding, especially on young c**ts.

Using your spur too quickly can create either a frightened horse or a dull one. A skilled rider uses this tool carefully and intentionally — as an extension of their leg to encourage, guide, and communicate with their horse.

The same can be said for the words that come out of our mouth. If we are too quick to speak — or too quick with our spurs — we may not get the outcome we are hoping for. Too many words can cause people to tune us out, just as a c**t may begin to ignore the rowel, and what we say and do lose meaning.

But when we choose our words and actions with patience and purpose, much like a good rider does in the saddle, we set an example that reflects understanding, grace, and love.

Natural talent and ability are not applicable to most of us for a lot of things. So don’t be afraid to start something new or to challenge yourself.
Start it.
Suck at it.
Figure out how to get better.
That is where the real talent lies.
