Inklings Printing Co. - Solvang The story of why Inklings was formed:

Hank and Diane Hudson opened Graphic Systems Printers in 1981. Graphic Systems Inc.

For years, they worked in their business alongside of their three children, and eventually, some of their grandchildren. Hank passed away in 2008 and even before that happened, Diane had retired and spent most of her time enjoying life and reading her favorite books and doing genealogy. As life went on, the three siblings of the next generation wanted to try things a new way and on the advice of t

heir financial planners, lawyers and accountants, they decided to form a corporation. was already taken, so the decision was made to look at other options. Hence, The Hankering Corporation was formed and as they wanted to keep doing the printing business as well as other things, they decided to start from scratch with a new name for a new generation of printing: Inklings. Who was this wonderful customer who came in to pick up blueprints and then ended up grabbing his drill out of the car and fixing our card rack?!? He was actually both on a ladder and on the ground fixing our problems! Yay! Love him! Hint: Imagine him in a pith helmet standing by a fire with a glass of wine in hand....
