Ever wonder why your business isn’t showing up in Google search? Are you a nonprofit looking for some *free* advertising dollars before Giving Season?

We want to help.

Today we’re announcing monthly marketing workshops dedicated to both Google Business Profiles and the Google Grants program for nonprofits through our Screechy Cat Academy initiative.

On the second Tuesday of each month, we’ll host nonprofits for Google Grants; the last Tuesday of each month, nonprofits and small businesses can join our Google Business Profile workshop. These workshops will be ongoing through 2026.

In addition to these recurring workshops, we’ll be hosting at least one per month on a general topic that both audiences can learn something from—workshops will focus on things like Meta ads, email marketing & marketing automation, and setting up a paid search campaign.

Finally, Screechy Cat Academy will host private 1:1 or group lessons on anything marketing + advertising related, at our office, yours, or virtually.

Nonprofit friends,

We are sadly going to have to postpone this Thursday’s Google Ad Grant seminar to a later date. I have unfortunately come down with the sickness—the 💩 lettuce disease (only in ‘Merica)—and I won’t be able to host the event this week.

For those that registered, we will announce the new date next week, but will honor full refunds if you cannot attend. Our plan is to reschedule for the last week of August.

Apologies for any inconvenience, and we hope to see you really soon at our next Screechy Cat Academy seminar!

We are just over a week away from the first Screechy Cat Academy seminar for nonprofits, dedicated to the Google Grants program.

Google Grants provides 501c3 nonprofits with a $10k/month ad credit to run paid search ads. All you need to do is fill out a form online, wait to be approved, and then create a paid search campaign of your own, and your nonprofit can be featured in Sponsored Results in Google search.

“But Joe, I dunno how to set up a paid search campaign…”

That’s ok, because I’ve basically been doing paid search since it was invented, and if you attend our seminar on Aug 13th, I’ll develop your first keyword list and ad copy on your behalf, so that the day your Grants account is approved, your ads can go live!

Spent the morning with colleagues from Space Base California and 500 others learning more about Vandenberg Space Force Base’s expected growth over the coming decade, which is poised to cement Lompoc as *the* spaceport city!
