via NJ author Anthony Buccino, who is offering a free Kindle ebook of his new book, Jersey City Snapshots. "You don't need a Kindle eReader to read books on Kindle! You can download a free app to your PC or phone. So, check out this free book today. And don't forget to rate it after you've read it, and a brief review (good or bad) would be nice, too." http://anthonybuccino.blogspot.com/2012/04/free-jersey-city-snapshots-for-your.html

Looking for ideas to revive our site and our page. Yes, it has been a bit neglected and abandoned, but recently, there have been a few people who have offered to step up and help with reviving and updating the site. So we're going to be starting some virtual construction and re-modeling work!

My original goal was to post articles about people, businesses and nonprofits who are doing a great job using social media. And although social media has changed quite a bit over the past several years, I'd like to carry forward the original goal of featuring those who are doing it well.

I'd also like to offer through the site more training and networking events throughout New Jersey, on a consistent basis, to teach others how to use social media and also to create opportunities for people to come together, meet in person and collaborate. I've met some great social media trainers here in New Jersey and would love to give them a platform to do what they do best and also provide opportunities for those who wish to learn about social media a place to find the training that they seek.

I'm not looking to make a profit for myself with this venture, but rather to create a self-sufficient, self-sustainable site where people can learn, have a chance to showcase their product or service, meet other people in the area, and get compensated for their talent whether it be writing, photography or video work, training, marketing, coding or other service related to supporting the site.

That is my vision. Is it doable? Do you think there are enough potential sponsors out there who would be open to partnering with this concept?

What areas would we need to ramp up, change, edit/delete? What else would we need to get this going again?

Your feedback, comments, critiques, suggestions and ideas are welcomed! Feel free to post as a comment or send a private message if you'd like.

Thanks in advance! -Eva
