Summer Minis are officially launching earlier than usual this year ☀️

These sessions have become some of my most requested every single summer, and I wanted to open booking sooner so I have time to potentially add more dates and options if needed — because truly, I want to photograph as many families as I can this season.

Sessions will take place at a beautiful location in or around South Bend (final location TBD) and are designed to be simple, relaxed, and full of those genuine summer moments you’ll want to hold onto forever.

$175 includes:
• 10–15 minute session
• 15 high resolution digital images
• Print release

I cannot wait to see all of you again this summer 🤍

Summer Mini Sessions are here! Each session is 10–15 minutes and includes 15 beautifully edited digital images with print release. Dates are set, but as always, we’ll keep an eye on the weather—if conditions aren’t ideal, we’ll work together to reschedule for the best possible light and ex...

A little sneak peek from last weekend’s Spring Minis — I truly loved every moment behind the camera.

Feeling extra grateful for a little more sunshine today as we wrap up this round. There’s just something about this season and these sessions that fills my cup in the best way.

I’ll be opening up a Summer Minis round soon — if you’ve been thinking about it, be sure to get on my list early. These always fill faster than I expect.

Goodness I adore this family! More to come soon. ☀️

I’ve been quietly working on something behind the scenes… and this one feels really special.

This pattern started as a simple sketch—just me, my iPad, and an idea to create something that felt soft, organic, and truly ours. And now seeing it come to life like this… in a space that reflects our home so closely… it’s hard to put into words how proud I am.

I created this mockup (swipe over) to get as close as possible to our actual pantry materials—the maple sand cabinetry, the quartz, the lighting, all of it—just to really see if the vision translated. And honestly… I think it does.

There’s something really meaningful about designing pieces for your own home. About finding ways to weave your creativity into the everyday spaces you live in.

This little pantry is going to hold more than just food—it’s going to hold a piece of my work, my creativity, and this season of building something from the ground up.

Now I just need to be brave enough to actually put it on the walls.

What do you think—should I go for it?

It’s been a little quiet over here… but behind the scenes, I’ve been pouring so much into our home build.

If you’ve been wanting all the updates — the real decisions, the details, the mood boards, and the why behind it all — I’ve been sharing it over on the blog.

It feels more like me over there right now, and I’d love to have you follow along.

Spring out here is starting to feel really special… everything is soft, green, and just waking up.

I found the sweetest little spot on the ranch for this weekend’s minis and I can already tell it’s going to photograph so beautifully.

I have just a couple of openings left for Sunday afternoon and would love to fill them.

If you’ve been thinking about updated family photos, this is such a simple and pretty setting.

Message me and I’ll send over the remaining times.

🌿 Spring Mini Sessions Are Live! 🌿

Spring Minis are officially open for booking and I’d love to see so many of you there! These short and sweet sessions are perfect for updated family photos, kiddos, or celebrating the season together.

Because we all know Pacific Northwest weather likes to keep us on our toes, flexibility will be key when booking. Sessions are currently scheduled for the end of April, but if the weather decides not to cooperate, we may bump them into early May to make sure we get that beautiful spring light we all love.

If you’ve been waiting for updated photos, this is a great chance! Spots are limited and tend to go quickly.

Mother’s Day Mini Sessions? 📸

I’ve been sitting with this idea for a few weeks now…

What if we paused time — just for 15 sweet minutes — to capture the way your little ones reach for you, lean into you, wrap their arms around your neck like you’re their whole world?

Because you are.

I’m considering offering Mother’s Day Mini Sessions this spring and I want to see who would be interested before I officially open the calendar.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

• 15-minute session
• $175
• 8 hand-edited digital images
• Print release included
• Light, airy, organic Emma Rose Company style
• Focused on connection — mamas + their babies (little or grown)

Simple. Beautiful. Meaningful.

No pressure. No overthinking outfits. Just you and your people.

If this is something you’d love for yourself (or would gift to a mama you adore), drop a 🤍 in the comments or tag a friend who needs this. If there’s enough interest, I’ll make it happen.

Because someday, these will be the photos they hold onto.

And you deserve to be in them.

I had so much fun with Carson tonight capturing his senior photos. It took a little calendar gymnastics (and of course we had to dodge the weather because… Pacific County 🌦️), but we made it happen — and it was so worth it.

Carson is such a genuinely sweet kid. The kind that makes my job easy because his personality just shines through the lens.

And can we talk about when mamas tag along? I love it. The behind-the-scenes moments, the proud smiles, the quiet “that’s my baby” energy — it gets me every time. Those little in-between memories are part of the story too.

Photography brings me so much joy. Freezing this fleeting season of life, preserving who they are right now, telling a story that will mean even more years from now… it never gets old.

Grateful for this work. Grateful for the stories. 🤍📸

Construction update… but don’t get too excited!

This week’s progress is the “paperwork and patience” kind. Engineer sign-off, bank assessment, financial closing — all the glamorous stuff.

We walked the property last night and it is WILD how small the house footprint feels now that it’s just leveled dirt. Like… this is 3,300 sq ft?! Everything I’ve read says once the walls go up it’ll suddenly make sense, so I’m choosing to trust the process and not panic-Google “did we build a tiny house?”

We said hi to Griffin, wandered the woods, planned future yard dreams (and a shop someday), and soaked up the most gorgeous evening.

Not much to report… but somehow it still feels like we’re getting closer.

Full update is on the blog 🤍

If you’re here for a big, dramatic construction update this week… I’ll be honest — this one is quieter. We’re in that in-between space where nothing looks wildly different, but everything is still moving forward behind the scenes. The kind of progress that doesn’t photograph well. The ki...

I didn’t realize how much I missed creating mood boards until this season of building our home. 🤍

For years, graphic design was one of my favorite creative outlets — gathering textures, colors, and little details that tell a story without saying a word. Somewhere along the way life got busy, creativity got quieter, and I stepped away from it more than I meant to.

This house project has gently pulled me back in. Every space we design gives me a reason to open that creative part of myself again — and the best part? I’m now able to weave in my own paintings and artwork right alongside the vision.

It feels less like designing a house and more like designing a feeling… one mood board at a time. 🍃

Anyone else rediscovering an old creative love lately?
