HUGE LABOR DAY WEEKEND TURNOUT AT HEAVENLY VILLAGE — LIVE MUSIC & FIREWORKS CONTINUE TODAY
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Sunday, September 6, 2026 — Following a huge Day One turnout at the Midway Art & Music Festival, Heavenly Village is preparing for another full day of Labor Day Weekend entertainment, culminating with a fireworks spectacular scheduled tonight between 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. tonight.

Thousands of visitors packed Heavenly Village Saturday, filling restaurants, shops and entertainment areas throughout the day. Channel 2 News was on-site covering the strong Labor Day Weekend crowds and activity throughout Lake Tahoe.

TODAY AT HEAVENLY VILLAGE
Live music and the carnival begin at NOON, with multiple acts performing throughout the Village, including Rick Hays and Moxy Ruckus, along with art, food, shopping and family entertainment throughout the day.

FIREWORKS SCHEDULED FOR TONIGHT
Heavenly Village has been working closely with South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue, and all required fire-safety and mitigation measures are in place. Weather conditions are cooperating, and the fireworks show is currently scheduled to proceed between 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. tonight.

“Saturday’s turnout was incredible and demonstrates what strong events and healthy tourism can mean for South Lake Tahoe,” said Dreu Murin, spokesperson for Heavenly Village. “Our restaurants, retailers and entertainment venues were busy, and today we have another full lineup of music and activities before tonight’s fireworks. A very special THANK YOU to the South Lake Tahoe Tourism Improvement District for sponsoring this event. They completely understand what tourism and guest experience means to our community. We encourage everyone to come early, spend the day and enjoy everything Heavenly Village, Lake Tahoe’s #1 destination and South Lake Tahoe have to offer.”
