Creative Catalyst Communications is an integrated marketing communications group specializing in projects that benefit communities large and small, private companies and non-profits. Our mission is to elevate the image and position of our clients by facilitating the conversation with internal and external audiences for the purpose of achieving the greater good. We take a holistic, integrated appro

ach because nothing you do ever happens in a vacuum, and because it is impossible to prescribe a blanket communications method to reach a population that is getting its information in ever-more varied ways. Our core competencies in marketing hail from a propensity for dogged research, a journalistic “nose for news,” a sensibility in sales, and a fresh approach to creative that never fails to stop even the busiest browser in her tracks. But above all, we are passionate communicators and relationship catalysts. By harnessing the positive energy behind our clients’ causes, our focus is on creating engagement with, and loyalty to, our clients. Our approach is to reach a target audience where and when they can best engage with a message and act on it. Whether it’s designing a show-stopping logo, creating an online universe, or producing high-profile events, we know how to connect with your audience when it means the most and will linger the longest. Maia guest authored this week's CuriosityBased newsletter on building community. It's worth a read and at the heart of our work.

What do you do when you move somewhere new and realize you have to rebuild everything — your routines, your people, your sense of place?

CuriosityBased's Maia Segura Segura recently returned to Minnesota after 30 years away, and found herself feeling more unsettled than expected. Starting over socially, even in a "home" city, is no small thing.

So she and her husband got to work — looking for volunteer opportunities, co-hosting a neighborhood holiday party, cueing up local events to attend like Porch Fest, where live bands play from private porches and talking to strangers suddenly feels completely natural. 🎶🏡

In just a few months, they're feeling more connected — and healthier for it.

The Centers for Disease Control backs this up: strong community bonds genuinely improve physical and mental health.

You don't have to start big. Invite someone to lunch. Join a choir. Take your dog to the park.

What's one thing that helped you feel at home somewhere new? 👇

We recently made a huge move from our beloved Vermont to exhilarating Minneapolis and it's been a LOT. Amid all of the moving parts and changes, we completed a brand new brand identity and new website for InThreads International. This is a new venture for our great friend and former colleague, John Mitchell who has built a career as one of the most brilliant and straight up folks in the performance textile industry. Check out his new site and let us know what you think! https://inthreadsintl.com/
