This week in agency land, I tackled a difficult client situation — and it reminded me why social media guidelines are non-negotiable for every organization.

No matter the size of your brand, you need written guidelines that cover:

✅ What can be posted
✅ Who can post it
✅ How it should visually look

And don’t sleep on employee governance. Having clear expectations for how your team shows up on social media is one of the BEST preventative measures you can put in place.
Guidelines aren’t just rules — they’re how you protect and accurately represent your brand.

If your business doesn’t have a system in place, you don’t have a lead problem… you have a revenue problem.

Most people are out here chasing more leads, posting more content, running random ads… but nothing is consistent. Nothing is converting.

Because there’s no system.

No clear way to capture leads.
No follow-up.
No structure turning interest into actual sales.

So even when opportunities come in, they fall through the cracks.

More leads won’t fix a broken process.

A system will.

Not your typical day, but a real one.

Dropped my kid off → pulled up to for a last-minute career day fill-in thanks to → then sat down with my mentor, Chuck Jackson Jr. bka

Full circle moment running into my old hairstylist… now a teacher at the same school.

First time recording a “day in the life” and honestly? Still figuring out if I was kid-friendly enough for middle schoolers 😂
But one thing I made clear: success is not linear.

Some days are planned.
