Ways to Market Your Martial Arts School
#1 - Become an active participant in your community.
Attending networking events, volunteering as a gym, having a booth at a festival or a float in a parade, and doing martial arts demonstrations at schools and community events are all ways to make your gym more visible.
#2 - Incentivize word-of-mouth referrals.
Offer existing students a discount for referring new members, and help them have a reason to tell their friends by hosting beginner-focused events.
#3 - Hang flyers on community bulletin boards.
A bulletin board at a coffeeshop, fitness center, or library would be a good place to advertise a summer kids program or a women’s self-defense class.
#4 - Post signage for people passing by.
Make sure anyone who walks or drives past your gym knows what is offered there. Hang a poster or flyer on your front door or window with pictures and a QR code for visitors to scan for more info or to get a free class.
