Teams are struggling to adopt AI because they don't know where to start.

We've helped thousands of people and dozens of organizations move from random experiments to structured adoption. In most of those relationships, training is the first step. It helps people get comfortable with the tools, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and begin to explore new ways of working.

Successful adoption requires shared knowledge, practical examples, and time to practice.

We’ve delivered over 80 trainings this year. The goal in every room is to help people understand what AI can do, apply it to their actual work, and create outcomes they can share with team members.

Most companies start with one of three sessions or programs:

1. AI Quest Foundations: We teach the core concepts, prompting basics, and how to build basic workflow automations and agents.
2. AI Quest for Leaders: We help leadership and executive teams understand what's coming, what it means for their organization, and how to lead AI adoption effectively.
3. Building Automations & Agents: A more advanced session where we teach teams the basics on connectors, skills, and agents to begin building automated workflows.

We're booking out fall and winter sessions now. If you're interested in getting started, we'd love to chat.

We'll make sure you aren't left behind.

AI tools are quickly moving from chatbots to systems that can take action and complete work on their own. They can work for hours, log into other systems, control software and computers, and act without a human approving every step.

The companies we work with are reasonably concerned about what this means for security and compliance. Recent incidents show why.

Earlier this year, Anthropic instructed an early version of Mythos to test whether it could escape its sandbox, and it did. More recently, OpenAI reported a more serious incident involving Hugging Face, which operates the largest open ecosystem for AI models. While testing the already released GPT-5.6 alongside an undisclosed, more powerful model that had not been released, OpenAI says the models broke out of their sandbox and entered Hugging Face's production systems without authorization. OpenAI has not said which model performed each action.

We think about incidents like these in terms of what they mean for the practical introduction of AI into our clients' operations. The risks are real, but good governance can go a long way toward helping companies adopt these tools safely.

We recommend building a playbook for monitoring both off-the-shelf tools like ChatGPT and Copilot that your team may already be using, as well as workflow automations you've built to do real work inside the business.

The attached playbook walks through five of the most important questions and considerations for governing these workflows.

We should keep pushing forward with AI. Managing these risks is part of leading through a global transition every company will have to make. But as these tools move from helping us with simple tasks to acting on our behalf, we need to make sure we're asking and addressing the tough questions.

We’re excited to announce that Cornelius Ukena has been promoted to Development Lead! 🎉

Corn has been with Mostly Serious for 6 years and has led development on some of the largest and most complex projects we’ve taken on. Over the past year, he has spearheaded our technical adoption of AI, helping us rethink how we build, automate, and deliver better work for our clients.

As Development Lead, Corn will oversee our web and application development services and lead the technical direction of our AI work. That includes custom product development, workflow automation, and the client-facing and internal agentic systems that are quickly becoming a core part of what we do.

AI is changing how organizations operate and how digital products are built. Corn is leading our efforts to turn that shift into useful, working solutions for our clients.

We’re proud to have Corn in this role and excited to see where he takes us next.

Congrats, Corn!

AI adoption changes when it moves from individual tools to organizational workflows.

Licenses and training are an important first leg of the journey. The harder work is deciding how a workflow should change, what the AI can do, what information it can access, how success will be measured, and when the system is ready to scale.

These five rules come from the practical lessons we’ve learned through workflow automation with our clients.

Today we’re proud to join Biz 417's Think Summit.

The theme is how the Ozarks makes room for what's next without waiting for somebody else to define it for us. Which is what we spend almost every day thinking about.

Jarad is joining Thomas Douglas and Max Buetow on the Resilient by Design panel to talk about the risks, opportunities, and practical ways our region should adapt to the changing nature of how work gets done.

If you’re there, come say hi.

This role is for someone who finds fulfillment in turning ambiguity into clarity, keeping projects moving forward, and helping clear roadblocks for others. The work will be done across Mostly Serious, MSAI, and Habitat.

You should be comfortable leading meetings with a balance of kindness and confidence. You love turning meeting notes, Slack convos, and Asana projects into clear next steps for our team. And you're all-in on AI fundamentally changing how work is done and excited to embrace that change.

You'll keep the ships on the rails (while learning many more inside jokes).

Local is ideal. Strong remote candidates are welcome.

The part of a website rebuild people talk about most is usually the visual reveal.

But a lot of the real value shows up earlier.

In Gordon College's case, the site had 4,000+ URLs, hundreds of templates, cluttered layouts, confusing navigation, and a backend that made non-technical updates harder than they should have been.

So our work started with structure. Reorganize content around how students actually browse. Reduce clutter. Improve navigation. Give editors a CMS with better workflows and guardrails.

That kind of strategy work is less flashy than a new homepage reveal, but it's where a lot of the ultimate impact comes from.

Around the time ChatGPT launched, even a little before, a lot of executives had a similar dream for their marketing teams: Publish way more. Cover way more keywords. Win on a massive amount of volume.

The problem is that strategy fails in two different ways.

First, generic content does not do much when a real person lands on the page. If it reads like AI-generated filler content, they're going to leave.

Then the second failure comes later. Search and answer engines, especially those powered by LLMs, get better at filtering out the same low-effort content you were hoping would help you.

That is where most people have landed with AI and content. Not to mention, it is easy for everyone to generate AI content, so there is no differentiation, even if it worked. But it does not.

The old rules are the same rules we have today and they have gotten even more valuable.

You must give your readers real perspective, real expertise, and real answers to their problems.
