🧠 MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY

Some days, the hardest part is admitting what you’re carrying.

Try this quick check-in (30 seconds):
✅ Name the feeling (stress, anger, numb, anxious, exhausted)
✅ Name where you feel it (chest, jaw, shoulders, stomach)
✅ Name one next step (water, shower, walk, call someone, 5 slow breaths)

You don’t have to “power through” alone. If you just need someone to talk to, we’re here too. Shoot us a message anytime.

🌿 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: THE 60-SECOND RESET 🌿

If today feels heavy, try this quick reset between calls, runs, or reports:

✅ Drop your shoulders
✅ Unclench your jaw
✅ Inhale 4 seconds
✅ Exhale 6 seconds (do it 5 times)

It won’t fix everything, but it can bring your nervous system down a notch so you can keep moving.

No one fights alone, one stitch at a time.

That’s a whole lot of beanies. 👀

Large order headed to Cold Spring, Kentucky for Cold Spring Police.

This one started as a concept and went straight through our design team — from the initial idea, to the artwork, to the finished embroidered product.

Whether you already have finished artwork or just an idea in your head, we can help bring it to life.

And whether you need 10 pieces or you’re outfitting the whole department…

No matter the size, we’ve got your six.

And when you order from Heroic Thread, you’re helping us take care of our own too.

5% of every sale goes toward supporting First Responder Mental Health.

🚨 TACTICAL TUESDAY: Situational Awareness = Time + Options 👀

The best tool you carry is your awareness.

Before you commit to ANY action (step off the rig, walk up on a car, enter a building), take 3 seconds for a quick 360 scan:
• What’s moving?
• What’s out of place?
• Where’s my exit?
• Who’s watching me?
• What’s my next cover or safe spot?

That quick scan buys you time, and time buys you options.

Pro tip: Say it out loud in your head: “Scan. Decide. Commit.”

What’s your go-to habit for staying switched on during the first 60 seconds on scene?

🚨 **MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY** 🚨

🧠⚡ **CHECK YOUR LEVELS**

Before you push through another shift (or another day), take 10 seconds and ask yourself:

✅ Mind: 0–10
✅ Energy: 0–10

If either number is low, don’t ignore it.

Try this quick reset:
1️⃣ Drink water
2️⃣ Eat something with protein
3️⃣ Text or call one person you trust

No one fights alone.

If you just need someone to talk to, we’re here too. Shoot us a message anytime.

🚨 YOU DON’T HAVE TO CARRY IT ALONE. 🚨

If you’re a first responder (or love one), here’s your reminder today:

✅ Check in with your people
✅ Say it out loud when you’re not okay
✅ Take the next right step (even if it’s small)

“No one fights alone” isn’t just a saying. It’s how we make it through the hard days, one shift at a time.

If you want a patch made for your crew, your department, or your story, we’ve got you.

🚨 TACTICAL TUESDAY: Staging Wins Scenes 🚧

On multi-agency calls, chaos usually starts in one place: the staging area.

Quick rule that works for fire, police, and EMS:
✅ If you’re not assigned, you’re staged.
✅ If you’re staged, you’re accountable.

Simple staging checklist:
• Pick ONE clear entry and ONE clear exit
• Keep lanes open for EMS and command
• Park facing out when you can
• Check in with who’s running staging before you self-deploy

Why it matters:
🔥 Faster resource deployment
🚓 Less congestion and fewer near-misses
🚑 Keeps patient access open when seconds count

What’s the best staging habit you’ve seen on a big scene?

🚨 **MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY** 🚨

🤝 **CHECK ON YOUR PARTNER**

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is reach out.

✅ Send the text.
✅ Make the call.
✅ Ask the real question: “How are you, really?”

A quick check in can be a lifeline. No one fights alone.

If you just need someone to talk to, we’re here too.

A little more than just “put the logo on it.”

This DCFD HAZMAT order came together with:

Puff embroidery on the hats
Custom HAZMAT diamond embroidery on the side
Matching embroidered shorts

Small details, but they’re the details that make the whole order come together.
