When things go sideways, the crews that win are the crews that communicate.

One simple habit that works for fire, police, and EMS:

✅ Before you move, transmit a quick “where I am + what I’m doing” update.

Examples:
• “Engine 12 interior, Alpha side, moving to the stairs.”
• “Unit 214 on the stop, driver side contact.”
• “Medic 3 staged, ready to move in on command.”

Why it matters:
🔥 Builds accountability fast
🚓 Prevents duplicate effort and confusion
🚑 Helps command keep the big picture when the scene is loud and moving

🚨 NEW FIRST RESPONDER & MILITARY SUPPORT GROUP IN WASHINGTON, DC 🚨
Starting Wednesday, September 9th, we’ll be holding a weekly Emotions Anonymous (EA) meeting specifically for active, retired, and former law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatchers, and military members.
Sometimes the people who are expected to be strong for everyone else need somewhere they can simply show up and be human.
EA is a 12-step fellowship focused on emotional wellness and recovery. This meeting is meant to provide a private, confidential, judgment-free space with people who understand the unique pressures that can come with serving others.
