Our print shop team here at Thomson Printing, 1905 New Media’s sister company, inspects every detail of an order before sending it to the printer.

Here are the top three things our print experts want you to know before saving that file:

1️⃣ When preparing your file for printing, extend bleeds ⅛” past the page edges to avoid unwanted borders.
2️⃣ CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) is the main color model for print, and should be set in graphics and documents before being sent to print.
3️⃣ For color or grayscale images, aim for 300 dpi (dots per image), and for line art, around 1200 dpi will maintain the clarity and details of your prints.

With eight years of experience at Thomson Printing, Creative & Graphics, Arturo ensures every project is delivered on time and with the highest standard of quality. His commitment to excellence earned him the prestigious “Committee's Choice” award in 2024, a part of the Bredon Jones Utopia Award, which celebrated his role in maintaining a positive and collaborative workplace.
