Five whole years, fam! How do we get here? Five years ago I couldn’t have imagined sitting where I am today (still in Brentwood, MO with my protective pup by my side), with a roster of consistent clients that I love collaborating with.

On top of being a bad ass designer for my clients that range across a variety of industries, I also have the privilege of wearing at least five hats behind the scenes of the Gympire I’ve been building with John.

Every day looks different and things can change on the drop of a dime (ahh, the marketing world rollercoaster never ceases), but I’m so grateful for all that I’ve learned and accomplished these last five years so that I can take the sudden turns with ease (sometimes 😅).

My annual recap post wouldn’t be complete without my annual acknowledgment and apology for lack of consistent updates about my work on the socials, but I’m also definitely not gonna promise it’ll get any better as I continue to focus on the next project on my plate instead 🤪

according to , yesterday was . in honor of such an amazing holiday, they called for readers to submit haikus about the big emergence we're about to experience. in case you're not aware, i love a good haiku. i have loathed cicadas ever since i was a kid and my sister would chase me with their shells. so please enjoy this diddy i wrote. 🪰

“the work never stops” hits different when YOU choose when, where and how long to work. i’ve been on my for a week and haven’t done any work until this morning. as we wait for the clouds to clear around the before we take off for a hike, i’m already feeling energized from taking this much needed break and am excited to spend a bit of time building a new client proposal this morning. working on vacation sounds like a drag, but it can actually feel empowering and balance out any potential guilt from pressing the reset button.

a project that was released into the (literal) wild earlier this year is one that was close to my heart! i partnered with to create and a to help educate locals + visitors of about the impact a proposed salmon farm would have on the area. the timing of the project even happened to coincide with my own first trip to last august. truly powerful information that we were able to depict in a digestible format that i can only hope helps make a difference in protecting our national parks!
