YOU ARE THE MOST SPECIAL ROSE. BECAUSE YOU ARE MY ROSE
When I was a child in the Democratic Republic of Congo, one of my favorite moments in school was listening to stories read by the teacher from our textbook.
One story that stayed with me for years was about a little prince and his rose.
The prince planted the rose himself.
He watered it.
Protected it.
Spoke to it.
Loved it.
And one day, he said something profound:
“You are not necessarily the most beautiful rose in this garden. But you are special to me because I chose you. You are mine. I love you.”
That thought carries deep meaning today.
We live in a time where many relationships are treated as temporary. People walk away quickly from people, dreams, commitments, communities, and even purpose.
But meaningful things are rarely built through convenience. They are built through intentional care, loyalty, patience, and presence.
The rose became special because the prince invested himself in it.
Perhaps that is the missing lesson in many areas of modern life:
What we choose to nurture becomes valuable beyond comparison.
“You are my rose.
I planted you.
I chose you.
And I will continue to care for you.”
