“Winter is almost here! ❄️ Keep your flag looking proud all season with these simple care tips. A little maintenance goes a long way—your flag will thank you!”
❄️ Winter Flag Care Tips
Cold weather can be tough on flags—here’s how to keep yours looking its best all season:
🔹 Bring Your Flag In During Storms
Ice, sleet, and high winds can cause tearing. Taking it down during severe weather will extend its life.
🔹 Inspect Regularly
Check for frayed edges, fading, or ice buildup. Early repairs prevent bigger damage. Did you know, we can help repair your flag?
🔹 Keep the Pole Ice-Free
Frozen halyard lines or hardware can cause snags and tears. A quick check makes a big difference.
🔹 Avoid Letting It Freeze
If your flag becomes soaked and freezes, take it down and let it fully dry indoors before raising it again.
🔹 Wash & Dry Before Storing
If you rotate flags seasonally, make sure they’re clean and completely dry to prevent mildew. Wash with a mild soap. Dry laid out. Do not fold it, as that may cause the colors to bleed.
