Yesterday was a milestone for Workman Communications Group as we help the Mizzou Greek Alliance change the narrative about the problem of hazing in college fraternities. Our bylined commentary article about the new efforts underway at Mizzou to stamp out excessive hazing appeared in three of the four largest newspapers in Missouri on the same Sunday: the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Springfield News-Leader and the Columbia Daily Tribune. Effective outreach to traditional news media with persuasive messaging continues to be key critical to powerful public relations.

St. Louis' highly innovative biotech industry needs an equally innovative local educational system to nurture future generations of plant scientists and sustain this critical industry. A thought leadership article I crafted for The Greren House Venture and recently placed in the St. Louis Business Journal provides several ideas on how our education system can join forces to make a carrer in plant science attractive to today's school-age kids.

A groundbreaking study being done in St. Louis by my client Green House Venture has huge implications for improving sustainble food supplies in urban areas across the country. My thanks to the NPR stations in St. Louis and Kansas City for publishing this interim report. More to come!

New findings from a St. Louis pilot study show bee pollinator habitats along highway corridors can potentially increase bee populations and improve food sustainability efforts.

Bylined commentary articles published in trade journals are a great way to build professional visibility and credibility for a leader in any industry. Getting such an article to simultaneously promote an upcoming trade show being hosted by the same leader is a double win. Today I was able to get such an article published for one of my clients. RSVPs received for this event are already ahead of last year's attendance

You know you've arrived when your law firm's sign reflects on the county courthouse where the firm's attorneys do lots of business. Congratsulations Carmody MacDonald...glad to be part of your team!

The law firm has expanded its space to 40,000 square feet over three floors. Its new, lighted sign was installed near the building’s main entrance on Central Avenue and faces the St. Louis County Government Center, home of the St. Louis County Courts.

When a century-old manufacturing company is sold, the long-range implications are usually not good for employees, customers and other stakeholders. But thanks to some careful messaging, Watlow's pending sale to Tinicum L.P. announced on Friday comes across in a very positive way. Here is the St. Louis Business Journal's take on this news.

The acquisition follows Watlow's own series of purchases that helped the company scale business globally.

Happy to be telling St. Louis the untold story about Habitat For Neighborhood Business, a nonprofit that helps minority entrepreneurs operating retail and service businesses in St. Louis' most under-served neighborhood sto prosper since 2006. Here is the inspiring story of Leslie Christian-Wilson, owner of Diversity Gallery in the Vandeventer neighborhood, as told by KWMU's Marissanne Lewis-Thompson. Habitat is looking for seasoned business executives to serve as mentors in conjunction with SLU's business school. https://news.stlpublicradio.org/economy-business/2021-02-03/st-louis-nonprofit-helps-minority-entrepreneurs-stay-in-business-during-pandemic

Here is installment #2 from KSDK about Concordance Academy. It all started with Project COPE over 30 years ago. I was President-elect of the COPE board of directors when Danny Ludeman came calling. Today I proudly serve on the Concordance board. The rest is history in the making.
