Editing always has me zooming in, adjusting tiny details most people would never notice.

But when I made it to my daughter’s image, and went to zoom in… my eyes filled with tears.

I saw all these little details that I’ve watched grow over the years.

I didn’t see flaws to fix.
I saw everything God created
so intentionally.

Kind. Gentle. 🤍
Strong in who she is.
And growing in her love for Him.

Part two… 🤍
Less posing, more connection.

We created some classic, styled maternity portraits (shared earlier), but I always try to make space for this side too…
creating the kind of images that feel like memories, not just photos.
…..To me they end up meaning the most.

Okay, Facebook wouldn’t let me live earlier 😅
It kept cropping some of my favorite shots,
so here’s a quick video to show a few more that deserved to be seen!

Even with limited time, we made sure to get a little bit of everything…
the classic shots for mom,
the fun ones for them (he wanted his truck shot), and a few where I got to create something that felt more like art.

The school year seems to always fly by,

Fresh off ShutterFest then straight back on the road to Poplar Bluff the very next morning to photograph my niece’s prom.

Because this isn’t just a side thing…
this is my livelihood, and I truly love what I do.

It was so fun capturing my niece and her date, they just have so much fun together.
Even with the rush & limited time,
everything still felt natural & easy.

And my niece 🤩 …
she’s always been beautiful, but seeing her in front of my camera, all dolled up,
had me choked up for a moment.
She is just so grown and absolutely stunning.

Wrapped up the best way I know how… full color, full creativity, and a pup that matched my energy perfectly. 🧡🐾✨🩷

My approach to photo conferences has changed; I’m not cramming in a million shoots anymore 🤣 just being intentional about time spent with other creatives, my cam fam, play with new styles, and do what actually inspires me.

This year, I leaned all the way into color.
Red, yellow, pink, orange… all of it.
Because color 🌈 just makes me happy.

Shoots weren’t even planned for this week,
(but honestly, most of the time those end up being my favorite). Seeing something that sparks an idea and then just letting the creative flow. 🪄

Now it’s straight back into real life.
Ball games, sessions, editing,
and all the catch-up. But I’m heading into it feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to create.

Another family I’ve had the honor of watching grow 🤍
I swear babies grow up overnight…
It feels like just yesterday I was photographing her big brother as a newborn in my last studio.

And now here we are, celebrating baby sisters
1st birthday in the new one.

Watching their life grow has been the sweetest thing. They are going to be the BEST parents.

And yes… there will be another post because we had two completely different vibes and I refuse to choose only 1😅

Whiling getting some quick Communion promo photos last night, I of course, had to make these two stand next to each other for a shot.

They’ve been best buddies since Tori started at Saint Joseph. They’re not in the same class this year, so they don’t get to see each other as much, which made it extra sweet watching them laugh and catch up while I was taking photos.

And honestly… little ones all dressed up for First Communion will never not be adorable.
