Hwy 44 road-widening project money is at stake.

If this project is delayed, it will increase Traffic Congestion and Safety in the area.

State Funding Cuts put 44 at Risk!

Mayor Chadwick is asking residents from Star, Middleton, Caldwell, Eagle, and surrounding communities to:

1. Attend the Idaho Transportation Board Open House
* June 16
* 1:30–3:00 PM
* Courtyard by Marriott
* 1789 S. Eagle Rd., Meridian

2. Tell transportation board members that Highway 44 should be a funding priority.

3. Email ITD board member Lorraine Dennis at [email protected] with comments supporting the project.

Why It Matters:

According to Mayor Chadwick, if the project continues to be delayed:

* Traffic congestion will worsen.
* Safety concerns will increase.
* Future Highway 16 traffic will further strain Highway 44.
* The region could face even greater transportation challenges as growth continues.
