This week’s project spotlight is an OB/ED piece I produced for Baptist Anderson in Meridian. Their team wanted a calm, reassuring way to show families that specialized care is close to home, especially during emergencies.

This one came together on a tight turnaround, and we brought a full teleprompter setup on site so their leadership could stay focused on what they wanted to say, not on memorizing lines. Even as a small shop, I like being able to offer tools like that and still move quickly when a client has an urgent need. If your organization needs to get an important message out fast, I would be glad to help tell that story.

Earlier this year, MSU's Bagley College of Engineering approached Apothecary Creative with a challenge. The goal? Raise awareness and increase enrollment numbers for their Summer Bridge program.

By leaning on the voices of both staff and former Summer Bridge students, we helped tell the story of the program and what parents and future Bulldogs could expect. From earning math credits to working on a real world engineering project developed by Ergon, the students were able to get a head start on their college careers and make lasting friendships along the way.

From there, we built a long-form story piece and a series of short, scroll-stopping snippets for social. Same message, different formats, so we could reach parents and students where they actually spend their time and keep them engaged.

The payoff was huge. After the videos launched, enrollment shot up and, for the first time in four years, the program hit full capacity.

A year and a half ago, I decided to take a leap and open Apothecary Creative. After years in large, corporate environments, I wanted to get back to my roots and help small businesses stand out, connect with their clients, and become a part of their communities.

Apothecary Creative's first client was Oree Cupz, a unique take on a multi-purpose cup. We used dynamic lighting and close up shots to bring the product to life, and then put in real world situations to show off its versatility.

Earlier this year, we approached the MSU Center for Entrepreneurship and Outreach about sponsoring a couple of video production prizes for the Startup Summit. One of the winners was Vertical Take-Off Reading. We got the opportunity to head to Meridian and work with Leta Palmiter, co-founder of VTO Reading and Executive Director of Illuminations Center for Dyslexia. She and her team were incredible and we're proud to share the final result of this collaboration. Thanks to everyone involved!

Excited to finally share some great news from last week’s MSU Startup Summit!

I was honored to serve as a judge for the Mississippi Made portion of the competition and to sponsor two $800 video production credits through Apothecary Creative. The level of talent, ambition, and innovation on display was truly inspiring—it made choosing winners no easy task!

After careful consideration, I’m proud to announce that our prizes went to:

Vertical Take-Off Reading – An innovative early literacy platform using AI and proven techniques to help young readers thrive.

Gulf Spore – A biotech company developing sustainable, next-generation agricultural solutions.
