⚡ Recording a livestream performance with The Boston Concert Network at the David Bieber Archives, to be broadcast in a few weeks;

Ears are still ringing from Something Sneaky's EP release party last night at Deep Cuts (also, happy 3rd birthday to the Medford indie rock club). Here's a quick scan of the sound; 'Old Notes' is out now.

If It's Too Loud: "The magic of Something Sneaky is their ability to be both noisy and experimental while being melodic and mainstream. All five tracks swerve wildly between these two disparate styles, with grating dissonance merging with pop rock perfectly."

Check out the full review and join us tonight at Deep Cuts in Medford to the "Old Notes" record release party.

A week from today (June 5), Today Junior unleash a blistering new single called "Keep On Pushing Me," and Rock And Roll Fables has the first word, describing it as “a thrilling slab of modern Alternative with an abundance of Fuzzed out Indie Garage Rawk thrown in for good measure… our next favorite anthem.” That's what's up.

TURN UP THE VOLUME includes the new Girl with a Hawk single "Wasn't It Just Yesterday", out now on Rum Bar Records, in its Best Tracks of May roundup: "Overall, this is a warm, hearty, and nostalgic energizer, spiced with classic textbook riffs and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed vocals. A stimulating upper for moody moments. It’s only rock ‘n’ roll, but we’ll never stop liking it."

⚡ New Music Friday: OtherBrotherDarryl release sophomore album "Hey Yeah Hey" next month (June 26), but not before the Boston alt-country and Americana collective today unveil the record’s infectious third single, “Too Right.”

A vibrant tune with a gentle stomp that echoes our collective exhaustion with internet culture and the acidic nature of foolish people, “Too Right” is an upbeat meditation on a noisy world.

In typical Other Brother Darryl nature, there’s an uplifting positivity to the sound, one that sparkles with the band’s golden magnetism and glistening harmonies. Bordering on a folk-fed protest song, it might even be their first tune a person can dance to.

Hear it live next weekend, on Saturday, June 6 when the band returns to The New England Americana Festival at Bellforge Arts Center in Medfield.

⚡ New Music Friday: The music of Something Sneaky has always existed somewhere between here and there. Back in the mid-2010s, the Boston band and its noisy indie-punk sound balanced a presence between the city’s network of DIY spaces and the more visible bars and rock clubs, coming off as perhaps a little too hectic for the laid-back indie rock crowd and a little too accessible for the underground scene.

⚡ Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/79JAUMa77Id9jKm4qxq90C

That has allowed the band to operate in its own lane and create music on its terms and timelines, and today Something Sneaky return with a raucous new EP titled "Old Notes," with the record release party tonight at Deep Cuts in Medford.

⚡ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZy1cMIuo1U

The boisterous EP is led by brazen focus track “Hole Foods,” a crunchy, frenetic guitar rock banger that slings its melodic noise with ease, and hits on just one of the styles strewn across the record. “Hole Foods” shows off the band’s penchant for a layered sound that’s both confrontational and consuming, and that’s on display across this entire record.

Fire it up on your platform of choice and party with us tonight.
