I’m pinching myself! It’s been one year since I announced Susanna Fier Consulting, LLC and dipped my toe into the world of small business ownership. For starters, who knew my first year would fly by this quickly? I knew opening my own business was a “risk” and that perhaps, no one would value my talents and experience, but I am humbled to look back at my inaugural year and see that it was never really a risk at all. I laugh a bit when I recall the difficult moments when I realized that I have to be my own IT department, and make sure that my finances were in order (and for those of you who know me well, I’m not so good with numbers), but even those moments of either uncertainty and sometimes frustration have taught me so much about myself and my business.
I’m asked all of the time, “How’s it going? Do you have clients?” That answer is thankfully, yes! My clients range from small to large, and even having a national footprint. The industries are wide-ranging and some more familiar. To all of my clients, you have been a pleasure to work with and I thank you for our relationship and the opportunity to amplify your messages, create meaningful and effective strategy to meet your goals, and communicate to the world about your unique products and services. The past year has been an absolute pleasure!
My biggest cheerleader is of course my husband, Carl. He has been genuinely encouraging, and a true believer since day one. He sends flowers, leaves notes of encouragement and is, without question, the most loving partner anyone could ever have. Thank you, Carl for encouraging me to succeed in this way and believing in me every step of the way. I love you!
I do have another guy in my corner, and he’s also a secret weapon! Shawn is a master of creativity, design, and all things highly technical when it comes to website development, maintenance and meeting the standards set by the giant, Google. Working together on behalf of our clients is so gratifying and I couldn’t do any of this without you, Shawn. Let’s keep up the amazing momentum and who knows where this journey takes us!
There are so many family members, close friends, and former colleagues who have been in my corner over the course of this past year, and I want to make sure you know how deeply appreciative I am of the visits, calls, text messages, DMs, lunches, walks, and positive thoughts that you have shared with me. I feel your pride in me, and it sincerely touches my heart!
As for me, the greatest gift I can give myself to celebrate this year is to jet off to Utah to go see my son William so we can mark this moment in time together. So, off I go! Here’s to the future!
Happy 1 Year SFC.
Cheers All!
