A month ago, I got a little personal on here — and your response meant more than I can say. So, I'm sharing it again.
At 11 years old I lost my brother. Nobody told me how to grieve, and my parents were dealing with their own devastation. So, I did what any resourceful 80s kid would do — I ate my feelings.
It worked for a while. Then my late 20s hit and so did the consequences. Nearly 200 pounds at just five feet tall. The heaviest and unhealthiest I had ever been.
It wasn't until cognitive behavioral therapy that everything shifted. I finally grieved my brother — all those years later — and my relationship with food changed completely.
That journey led me to become a Certified Nutrition Specialist. For years I used this exact framework with my emotional eating clients and watched it change lives.
So, I brought it back — completely revamped and more impactful than ever.
