It’s been a while since we have posted but since this has been such an ongoing topic I will be writing a blog post about it. Until then here’s what you need to know:

🚫 Geo-tagging photos does NOT improve SEO

This is one of the most common local SEO myths we see.

Even if you geo-tag your images before uploading them, Google strips out that data and doesn’t use it as a ranking factor. There’s no proven SEO benefit—just a lot of wasted effort.

✅ What does help instead:
• Descriptive image file names
• Strong alt text
• Optimized Google Business Profiles
• Location-based website content
• Consistent reviews and engagement

If you want better local rankings, focus on what Google can actually read and trust—not hidden photo metadata.

future reference in SSA.

Rescheduling a roofing project and communicating that to everyone involved at the last min can be a nightmare. Unfortunately, things changing at the last minute is something that happens in the roofing industry. These changes are caused by various challenges roofing company owners and operators face these days.
