✌️ This was my first encounter with Sugarwish and let me tell you, it’s not just a gift, it’s an experience! You choose your own gift from categories - popcorns, candies, sweets, spa items, etc. - and it’s delivered in the cutest packaging.👏

Of course, I have to point out some standout copy. Zoom in on the box. 🔎👇

Levels of Joy: High, Higher, Highest
Emphasis on “Highest”

It’s simple, concise, and helps the customer connect with what they’re feeling in the moment. Now I associate this brand with feelings of immense joy and happiness. And they did it in 6 words! Genius. 🤩💯

What do I love about freelance copywriting?

I get to explore and learn about industries I never would’ve known about otherwise!

I attended Pack Expo Southeast earlier this week and was blown away by all the innovative technologies and packing solutions presented. 📦

Shoutout to my husband for helping me get outside my comfort zone and showing me the ropes. This man is a networking guru. 🤩

This book (which I highly recommend!) teaches individuals how to communicate and connect with people 1-on-1 or in larger group settings.

“You are your message” applies to brands trying to connect with customers in much the same way.

John Maxwell continues, “Eventually who you are will show through, so if you want to connect well with people, you must become the kind of person you would like to connect with. How you portray yourself, what you communicate, and how you live need to be consistent.”

Replace the ‘you’s’ with ‘your brand’ and you’ll see what I mean:

[Your brand] is your message! Eventually who/what [your brand] is will show through, so if you want to connect well with people, you must become the kind [of brand] you would like to connect with.

🔸How you portray [your brand]
🔸What [your brand] communicates, and
🔸How [your brand operates] needs to be consistent

Do I love it? Yes, yes I do. 🤓

Here’s why the copy for The Bug Bite Thing’s email opt-in message works.

In 3 simple sentences, the reader learns:

🔸The brand’s mission
🔸How the products benefit them
🔸What to expect by subscribing

There’s no generic messaging. You know the type: “Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news and exclusive offers.” 😴

The message is personable and straightforward. And my favorite part?

The 2 simple words at the bottom. “Buzz off.” 🙅

Sure, it’s clever copy, with the brand’s focus on bugs and all, but it goes deeper than that.

It puts the reader at ease. It says, “Hey, no pressure. We think you’ll love our emails, but if not, no worries.”

And that little bit of reassurance builds trust.

Every bit of copy on your website is an opportunity for your brand’s voice to shine through and for you to build rapport with your audience. Make the most of it! 🤩
