I'm excited to share my new website! My portfolio is now right on the homepage and it is easy to find the kind of project that interests you: logos, brochures, annual reports, invitations, book designs, websites and more. There’s even a spot devoted exclusively to projects I’ve done locally here in Delaware County (ask about a special discount for local orgs and businesses). And a peek at some of my personal work, too.

This is a really lovely piece that talks about the blending of food, memory and mixed cultures. It made me think of the book "Cooking from Memory", a cookbook memoir written by Jacqueline Jonas. Alongside poignant essays, Jackie offers her recipes for everything from Southern Buttermilk Biscuits and Sweet Potato Pie to Classic Potato Latkes and Hamantaschen. My colleague, Simha Rosenberg introduces "Story Listening" as a tool to help progressive build awareness. She has a host of other free tools + resources, too, including a Nonprofit Branding Workbook, Audience Persona Tool, and a tool to help plan an editorial calendar.

For years I’ve helped nonprofits tell better stories. I've come to realize that story listening is even more transformative.

I have been amazed at how nimble some organizations have been at transitioning into virtual space. The design community, too, has been responding. One company, Canva, has just released a series of templates for social media and posters that you may find very helpful in reaching out to your community. Canva offers many high quality resources for free; others with a very reasonably priced paid account. www.canva.com

I've been designing for a long time, but until now, I had never designed an entire book like this one. Yesterday, I was proud to be at Mishkan Shalom for the unveiling of "Directing the Heart," a 150+ page guidebook for the soul written by Rabbi Yael Levy of A Way In. From cover to the styles used throughout, I crafted the book to reflect Rabbi Yael's poetic interpretations of each Torah portion and the mindfulness practice that she developed to match each week's theme. I am grateful to my friend and colleague Gari Julius Weilbacher for working alongside me to bring this book to fruition. And thank you to Rabbi Yael for entrusting me with her work. So fun to see this new come to life in Swarthmore Town Center! Village Vine Wine Bar + Bistro will be a fabulous new addition to our town. Folks loved tasting new wines and sampling savory treats at last night’s Stroll. Jill and Lori have a great vision for this new spot and it has been delightful to work with them!
