The farms of South Jersey don't disappear overnight — they fade slowly, one family operation at a time. Jennifer Kugler, founder of South Jersey Preservation, saw that happening and decided someone needed to speak up for the farmers. So she did. 💚

This volunteer-run, nonpartisan organization is working to strengthen local farms, reconnect communities with agriculture, and preserve the culture that makes South Jersey such a special place to live. Dr. Kenneth Lacovara has chased dinosaurs across Patagonia, Egypt, and China — and discovered Dreadnoughtus schrani, one of the largest dinosaurs ever found. He's a TED speaker, Explorers Club Medal recipient, and author. But one of his greatest discoveries happened right here in South Jersey, where a marl quarry in Mantua Township revealed a "death layer" tied to the asteroid that ended the age of dinosaurs — and led to the creation of the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum of Rowan University.
When he's not uncovering history, he's coaching the Kingsway drumline and cheering on his graduating senior, Rudyard. Sometimes, exploration begins right in your own backyard." 🌍
