Mandi Lane: Production Specialist
6 Months with CGS
I have been a part of the Sweetwater Community for 19 years. I was born in Round Rock, Texas, and grew up in Junction, Texas, till high school, where I graduated from Breckenridge High School in 2003. In 2006, I moved to Sweetwater to be with my husband, Chad Lane. We have been married for 19 years and reside in Roscoe, TX. We have 3 sons and a daughter, 1 daughter-in-law, and we just recently gained one grandson. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the CGS team. There is never a dull moment with everyone I work with. Russ and Terri are amazing people to work for. I am proud to work for people like them who do so much for our community, and there is so much to learn from Russ and Terri. I take pride in everything that I help make at CGS, and it is incredibly rewarding to see the finished product out in the community. Every day, there is something new to make and learn, and it is a constant learning opportunity here at CGS. I really love to create; one of my favorite tasks is creating banners and going to a location to install graphics on signs or a building. It is very gratifying when you are walking through a building or driving past something you have put together and can say, "I made that!" It is also heartening when you are out in public and see customers you are getting to know and building relationships with. When at home, I usually spend time with my family, assisting my husband with truck projects, or going outdoors to hunt and fish.

Diana Bloodworth: Production Specialist
20 years with CGS
I grew up in Sweetwater, Texas, and did gymnastics for several years. I have been fortunate enough to learn a great deal during my time with CGS, including becoming a certified wrap specialist, gaining experience in production, and ordering for the company. This company has been the best I have ever worked for. I love to read, go to Vegas with my husband, and enjoy spending time with my wonderful family. I have two sons with wonderful wives, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, a loving and supportive husband who encourages me to do things I’ve never thought possible. I came to CGS without any experience in the field, but I was willing to learn everything. I have been very fortunate in my life to have the coworkers and boss that I have.

Kasey Lee: Sales Manager

You don’t stick with something for a couple of decades if you don’t love it! It’s not everywhere that you can design a logo that can appear on an ink pen, a vehicle wrap, and a billboard all in the same place. I thoroughly enjoy serving as the liaison between the client and our award-winning graphic designer. It’s very rewarding to communicate the client’s vision and see the finished product come to life out in the world! I sure love our one-stop shop in the Big Country! We have an amazing team. Just give us a call, and we will prove it to you!

Anslee Few: Installation & Production Assistant
3 years with CGS
I have had the pleasure of learning new skills, often with the guidance of a wonderful and experienced team. As an installation assistant, I have supported our team on numerous projects, ranging from large to small. I feel incredible pride when I get to see finished products months or even years later, knowing that I had a hand in installing them.

Here is the 4th introduction in the series.
Jordan Sturdivant: Executive Assistant & Notary Public
1 year with CGS
I grew up in Breckenridge, TX, where I graduated from high school in 2016. I went on to Cisco Jr. College to receive my associate's degree in 2018. I moved to Roscoe, TX, in 2017. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Hardin-Simmons and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in General Business. I really enjoy working at CGS and have learned a great deal since starting here. I hope to continue expanding my knowledge by learning more on the design side, such as using CorelDRAW and Photoshop. We have a truly talented and caring team here at CGS, and I hope to be able to last the length of time most of my coworkers have. Having employees who have worked for you for 12 plus years really speaks volumes about the type of boss/person you are. Russ is more than likely the best boss I have ever had; he’s truly an understanding and caring person. I enjoy working at CGS because of the creativity and challenges that are involved in graphic design.

Happy New Year, hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Here is the 3rd post in the series of introductions.
James Sturdivant: Production Manager
17 years with CGS
James was born and raised in the Snyder, Texas area. He grew up helping his dad with the family electrical business, starting at the age of 11. He learned the trade and was able to wire a house by the age of 15, while still having time to play football, basketball, and run track for school. James also took a particular interest in music. He began teaching himself how to play guitar after buying his first electric guitar with money earned working for his dad. He graduated from Ira High School in 1991. James attended correctional officer training at Western Texas College, received his certificate of completion, and worked for TDCJ-ID from 1992 to 1999. That same year, James took an interest in the sign industry when he applied for a crane operator position at a sign company in Abilene, Texas. James describes this opportunity as a “happy accident” since news of the open position came from a perfect stranger, and it led him to find his lifelong career path. Once established as a crane operator and installer, he began taking on new roles and responsibilities within the company, including serving as a sign fabrication specialist. He learned how to design using CorelDRAW and Photoshop and build all types of signs from scratch. Everything from simple post and panels to intricate channel lettering on raceways. Learning all the different aspects of the sign company eventually brought James to land the Production Manager position and lead the fabrication team. After several years of “running the shop”, James decided it was time for a change and a new challenge. He set his sights on something a little closer to his home in Roscoe. He applied for a position with CGS and started a few days later. Not content with being just a hired hand or a helper, James dug in, learning all that he could through the years. From customer service to design, installation, and vendor relations, and everything in between, James has taken on the challenges of the job and met them head-on. James has 5 kids and 15 grandchildren. He married his wife Jordan in October of 2020. Some of his other hobbies include playing pool, co****le, and poker, as well as spending time with family and friends. James and Jordan sometimes even play in pool tournaments in Roscoe, Texas. James enjoys his job because he gets to bring a customer's vision to life, which is truly satisfying. He hopes that his customers get the same satisfaction when they see the final product that he does, making it happen.

Here is the 2nd introduction in the series. We will continue this series of posts after the New Year. We hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
Don Connel: Promotions Specialist
20 years with CGS
Don was born in Haskell, Texas. He and his family moved to Abilene, Texas, when he was three years old, after a brief time in Post, Texas. After graduating from Cooper High School in 1991, he attended York College in York, NE, earning his B.A. in elementary education with an emphasis on music. His career path included teaching elementary music and serving as the assistant baseball coach at Westbury Christian School in Houston. He later moved to Paris, TN, to sing and tour with the vocal group Acapella, followed by a short period in youth ministry in Sierra Vista, AZ. Don returned to Abilene to sing with Fishers of Men and later helped establish the singing group Cornerstone in 2004. It was while he was having work done for Cornerstone at Creative Graphic Solutions that he was introduced to the company, leading him to join the team a few months later. Don and his wife, Melissa, were married in May 2023. They have two busy girls and are actively involved at the Southern Hills Church of Christ, where Don sings on the praise team and leads worship. They are also very involved with their small group. He is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, and Dallas Cowboys. Don’t tell Russ, but he also really likes the Texas Longhorns. Other interests include disc golf, poker, and basically anything that involves competition. Don appreciates the consistency of the CGS team and the family atmosphere it provides. “You will be hard-pressed to find another company the size of CGS that has had the years of experience and family atmosphere that we do here. Close relationships have been made both from the employee and customer side.”

Our Story

Creative Graphic Solutions is a full service Marketing and Advertising production company with locations in Abilene and Sweetwater, Texas.

For over 20 years Creative Graphic Solutions has been providing top-quality Graphic Design services, Promotional Products, Signs & Banners, Screen Printing, Business Forms & Printing, and more. CGS Sweetwater recently added authorized UPS & FedEx Shipping services. The list of products & services CGS offers just keeps growing. If we can, we will!

Owner, Russ Petty, incorporated Creative Graphic Solutions in Sweetwater, Texas in October of 1997. The company we know today as CGS actually began as a hobby in the mid 90’s. What was once a hobby quickly grew into a small print shop with new equipment and a new partner in Russ Petty. Russ hopped on board, and the world was introduced to Vision Graphics. Russ became sole proprietor of the company and incorporated Creative Graphic Solutions in 1997. Delivering top-quality work and treating people right kept the company growing. 10 years later CGS expanded to a second location in Abilene, Texas. To say “a lot has changed since 1997” is a Texas-sized understatement. So much has changed, it’s comforting to know you can still rely on CGS to deliver quality. We stand behind that.
