This was my final photograph of 2023. I captured it at Foxtrot Café in Chicago around 10:30 PM while working on the ‘Owtlaw’ music video. The atmosphere was serene—the lights dimmed, distant sounds of lively bar crowds, and the faint echo of police sirens. A moment you had to be there to truly experience.

Only God knows how cold my fingertips were that day. We had lined up three different locations for filming *Heartbreaker*, Wilmo's pirate ship and ocean-themed song in February. Each spot was planned so we could film for about an hour and then move on. JG, Wilmo, and I were incredibly exhausted by the time we reached the indoor studio location, which had an olden-day ship theme, but we still managed to get all the content and photos done and made it home before midnight. Serious achievement if you ask me.

It happened!! It finally happened!! I just finished my 24th video of the year, and I can’t stop smiling! Hitting this milestone in my first year of pursuing creative direction and videography full-time feels like a dream come true.

This year has been full of challenges and hurdles, but I’ve learned so much along the way. I think I’ll spend the rest of the year sharing some of those stories—it’s time to reflect and let it all out before starting fresh again!

The melody for 'Owtlaw' by Pa$ty will forever be stuck in my head. This too like the others took less than a week to shoot and was edited to a close the same weekend. So many memories and lessons from this video that helped a ton in all the future videos that came of after it. Funny story is that we started working on the sequel which was 'County Lines' right the next day.

They ought to make a documentary about how the entire visualizer and art for 'Optimistic' by Wilmo came together. It was one of the coldest days in Chicago, and in the heat of the moment, we decided to record the visualizer outdoors in the snow at night. What came from it remains one of the most fun yet demanding videos we’ve ever filmed. I still laugh at how haphazardly we wired the single large light we had, just to get the shot in the middle of a snow pile. I think the video itself deserves its own post.

Pa$ty and I shot the music video for 'Rockstar' in just 12 hours and finished editing it the same day. It was the perfect mix of excitement, adrenaline, cold rainy weather, and just enough graphics memory on my computer to edit the video on the fly in the living room.
