is one of the most incredible and magical places that I've had the opportunity to experience and photograph. The landscapes can often defy your imagination and exceed all preconceived notions of how beautiful our planet can be. While it's improbable that I'll ever be an astronaut, I'm thankful for the opportunities that provides to explore places that truly feel otherworldly. Throw in a waist-deep powder day and some penguins and I promise that you'll have a new benchline for delight.

After shooting the incredible double rainbow from the beach yesterday, I made a last minute scramble up the Mt Rose Highway to capture this panoramic image of the storm cloud over Tahoe as it started to really light up for the sunset.

A whirlwind trip around New Mexico revealed some incredible places that absolutely blew my mind. Topping off the week, a day of exploring these alien landscapes led to one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen. I heard this particular location referred to as "catnip for photographers" and I was certainly feeling the effects.
