Yesterday, I returned from San Diego after an inspiring experience at the NGLCC Leadership and Business Conference.

The conversations, sessions, and connections offered valuable perspectives on the evolving role of AI in business, communications, and how we work. But one message stood out above all: while technology continues to transform the way we connect, the importance of genuine relationships and people remains irreplaceable.

AI can help us move faster, work smarter, and unlock new possibilities—but trust, collaboration, empathy, and meaningful human connection are still at the center of lasting business success.

The jet lag has kicked in a little today, but I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to learn, reconnect, meet new people, and return energized by what’s ahead.

Grateful for the NGLCC community and excited to carry these conversations forward.

Happy 4th of July weekend, everyone! 🇺🇸

As a South African who moved to the United States to build a life and career, I am incredibly thankful for all the opportunities this country has afforded me.

From corporate digital marketing leadership to building my own agency, America has truly been a land of growth, community, and fresh starts.

This year looks a little different, though. I’m holding a special place in my heart for Penelope, the pug who was always "in charge" and walked every step of this journey right by my side.

This is my first 4th of July without her here, but her spirit is woven into everything I’ve built.

Wishing you all a wonderful, safe holiday weekend filled with gratitude, family, and celebration!

On this day in 1976, students in Soweto, outside Johannesburg, stood up against the apartheid government’s decision to force Afrikaans as the language of instruction in schools, denying many children the chance to learn in their own language or in English.

What began as a protest near Soweto, not far from Nelson Mandela’s home while he was in prison, ended in tragedy when police opened fire on the crowd. At least 176 protesters lost their lives.

Among those remembered is Hector Pieterson, whose final moments, captured in the iconic photograph of him being carried by Mbuyisa Makhubo, with his sister Antoinette Sithole running alongside, became a lasting symbol of apartheid’s brutality and sparked global outrage.

Today, we observe Youth Day in honor of those sacrifices. South Africa still faces serious challenges, including high youth unemployment, and that is why work that creates opportunities matters. At https://xdigitalseo.com/, the purpose is to help, even in a small way, by creating jobs and supporting South Africa’s fight against unemployment. Every new hire makes a difference.

That said, today’s challenges must never be compared lightly to what the youth of 1976 endured. Their courage, pain, and sacrifice were on another level, and we remember them with deep respect. Their legacy is not only one of loss, but of strength, resilience, and the ongoing responsibility to build a better future.
