𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁?

Your website isn't something that you just set and forget. Even if you're selling products. Your website should be dynamic and changing with your business and with your goals.

How well is your website working for your business? How do you know?

What goal(s) did you have when you created your website? Have they changed?

If you are a speaker, coach, or professional expert, as you continue to grow and work in your craft, how you want to impact the world will change.

Whether it's your audience, your message, your voice, your specialty, or the way you want to serve (like going from one-on-one to group lessons or from in-person to online) change is going to come.

And when it does, your website should change with it.

At BDM, we recommend most companies do at least an annual audit of their website to ensure that the content most people will see from them matches the message they're sending and the goals that they have. For some companies it should be as often as quarterly.

Note: I am not saying that you should only UPDATE your website quarterly, or annually. You should be creating content that aligns with your marketing plan as often as necessary.

Are you a one-man band?

It's not always a bad thing. And if you are, then YOU NEED A WEBSITE.

Wanna know why?

Because there's no way for you to be everywhere at once!

If people are looking for your special brand of expertise you want to make sure that you appear top of search and top of mind when they start to look for answers.

As a professional expert, you don't have the time to man the phones, answer all the questions, schedule every appointment, send every email, and follow up with every inquiry.

That's where a website comes in handy.

Your website can become a central resource for potential customers to get their questions answered. It can become your starting point for building relationships - through email and information.

It can be your voice.
It can answer questions.
It can serve as your digital home.
It can help you establish credibility.
It can start long-term customer relationships.

That doesn't mean that you can just purchase a domain and people will come and find you. You still have to invest in your website.

If you are a one-man-band, your website should help you manage, it shouldn't slow you down.

Important things your website should do:

• Answer FAQs
• Establish your credibility
• Let people know what you do
• Allow people to purchase, if applicable
• Allow people to schedule, if applicable
• Explain the next steps for potential customers

A great website...

• will create a way for you to get their contact information even if they're not ready to buy (ebook, webinar, email list, etc)
• establish a reason for them to come back to your site for new and fresh content

Do you really need a website? 🤔

Think about it. How important is your website to your business? What does it do for your business? Is it there for 🔍search engines to find you? Is is there so that people can learn about you? Join your email list? For potential customers to purchase something 🤑?

It breaks my heart 💔when I come across small business owner's whose websites aren't working for them because they got it built for the wrong reasons.

You website should create revenue for your business. For most industries, if it's just here as a place holder, it can wait. DON'T MAKE THAT YOUR FIRST INVESTMENT.

I could talk for days about the different ways to make sure that your website is creating an impact on your bottom line...

So, I will.
