Most small business owners never stop to audit their own process because they’re too busy living inside of it. But the exhaustion you feel, the clients who don’t come back, and the revenue that never seems to grow are almost always symptoms of the same root problem: there is no clear system holding any of it together.

A process audit is not about finding everything that’s wrong all at once. It’s about identifying the two or three things that are quietly running on manual and draining your energy every single week so you can fix those first and actually feel the difference.

This carousel walks you through exactly how to do that in four steps that any small business owner, service provider, or entrepreneur can implement this week without any special tools or technical knowledge.

Save this because this is the kind of content you will want to come back to when you finally decide to stop running your business from memory and start building something that works even when you’re not. Follow for weekly strategy on customer experience, process improvement, and digital visibility for small business owners who are ready to scale without burning out. 🤍

If Instagram shut down tomorrow, would you still have a business? 5 years as a web designer taught me one thing the hard way…building your business on platforms you don’t own is the fastest way to lose everything you built. Let’s talk about it 👉🏾

If your entire client strategy lives on Instagram or Facebook, this video is your wake-up call.Social media is borrowed land. The algorithm changes. Accounts...

For 5 years as a web designer I said yes to everything outside my scope. Copywriting, Strategy, Social Media Management, Revisions that were never part of the deal. All for the same original price.

It wasn’t just a boundary problem. It was a process problem.

I learned agree the fact that’s how burnout creep works. It doesn’t knock you over all at once…It creeps. Until one day you’re fully booked and completely empty…People are rooting for you while your passion is slowly dying.

Research suggests it takes up to 2 years to fully recover from burnout.

Year two I knew what was happening and couldn’t stop because the business needed me to keep going. That year almost broke me.

I started recovering while simultaneously trying to build something sustainable so I never ended up back there again.

What I found on the other side was the burnout was never about the workload, but the absence of three things:

A customer experience that works so clients aren’t falling through the cracks.

A process system so the business isn’t living entirely in your head.

A digital presence strategy so you’re not chasing visibility while trying to stay sane.

These are the three things I didn’t have. And the three things I now help small business owners build so they don’t spend years recovering from something that was preventable.

If any part of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. 💙

created a whole room full of women who are building something intentional and being in that space reminded me why showing up is never optional for business owners who are serious.

Marketing & Mimosas Co-Working event was exactly what I needed. Ambitious intentional women having real conversations about building meaningful businesses. The kind of energy that makes you want to go home and get to work immediately.

This season we are done shrinking. More rooms. More conversations. More visibility. Because your next client, your next collaborator, your next opportunity is literally one conversation away…but only if you’re in the room.

And here’s what I know as someone who went from designing websites and brands, to helping business owners build their visibility, customer experience, and improve their processes, showing up in person and showing up online work together. People cannot connect with what they cannot see. Whether that’s at a networking event, or on your Instagram page, or in someone’s inbox.

The women in that room were proof that when ambitious women entrepreneurs get in the same space something shifts. You stop playing small. You stop waiting until everything is perfect. You start moving like the business owner you already are.

I am already counting down for 2026 because if the co-working experience gave me this much the full event is going to be something else entirely.

Comment below if you’re going to be there.
I cannot wait to meet you. 🩷💙💛🧡

If you’re a small business owner, service provider, hairstylist, nail tech, esthetician, photographer, consultant, or coach; this is for you.

Your loyal clients are your most valuable business asset. They spend more. They refer more. They complain less. And they don’t need to be convinced to trust you because you already earned it.

So before you run another promotion or create another piece of content to attract someone new, ask yourself when was the last time you did something intentional for the people who already said yes to you.

Acquiring a new customer costs 5 times more than keeping an existing one. Five times. Yet most small businesses pour everything into getting new clients while the ones they already have quietly stop coming back.

We put so much energy into getting the customer in the door that we forget about what happens after they leave.

⌚️The 48 hour follow up is not about being annoying or begging for a review. It’s about making sure the person who trusted you with their money actually felt taken care of.

A customer who feels checked on becomes a customer who comes back. And a customer who comes back brings somebody with them.

That is your most powerful marketing strategy and it is completely free. Great experience > Customer Retention > Word of Mouth Marketing

Save this so you remember to actually do it 🤍 and follow because we’re building better businesses this year.

Every time someone voice a bad experience or leave a bad review, you’re ready to run.

Here’s What NOT to do ↓

👎🏾 Don’t ignore it and hope they don’t post about it.

👎🏾 Don’t get defensive and make it about you.

👎🏾 Don’t offer a refund just to get them to go away without actually fixing the problem.

👎🏾 Don’t respond publicly with an attitude because everyone is watching how you handle it.

👎🏾 Don’t wait three days to respond like the situation is just going to resolve itself.

Now here’s what to do instead ↓

✅Do respond quickly. Even if you don’t have a solution yet, acknowledge them immediately.

✅ Do take accountability without making excuses. “I understand your frustration and I want to make this right” goes further than you think.

✅ Do move the conversation privately. Address it publicly first so others see you care, then handle the details in the DMs.

✅Do follow up after you’ve resolved it. Check back in. That extra step is what turns an unhappy customer into a loyal one.

✅Do use it as data. Every complaint is telling you something about your business that you needed to know anyway.

The way you handle things when they go wrong is the real test of your customer experience. Anyone can show up when everything is perfect.

Save this for the next time things don’t go as planned. 💙

This stopped me mid scroll and I had to bring it back to us.

just dropped their 2026 State of Small Business report and one stat in particular hit different: 53% of small business owners say finding customers is their number one challenge right now.
Not the product. Not the service. Not the skill. Finding customers.

And I need us to sit with that for a second because that tells me we’re out here building beautiful businesses that the right people simply cannot find.

That’s not a talent problem. That’s an online presence problem. And it’s fixable.

Your website, your email list, your booking system those are the things that make you findable on the day someone finally decides they’re ready to invest. And right now most of ours aren’t set up to do that job.

That’s literally what I help small business owners figure out and I don’t want us to be part of that 53%.

We’ve all been there…ghosting our business while on vacation. But here’s a few ways you can ensure you remain visible and your business doesn’t end up looking like an abandoned home:

1. Using your business email, add a quick automated vacation/away reply. Set an expectation of when you return and when they should expect a reply.

2. Schedule your content in advance. Queue up social posts, emails, or launches so your presence stays active.

3. Save responses for common inquiries. Pre-write answers or templates so nothing piles up unnecessarily. Take advantage of Instagram’s FAQ, quick reply, and other tools to help your business stay connected to your customers.

The goal isn’t to stay glued to your business while you’re away instead it’s to create systems that hold things down for you. When you set up even a few of these simple touchpoints, you’re protecting your brand’s consistency and your peace of mind at the same time. So you can actually step away, enjoy your time, and come back to a business that still feels active, intentional, and cared for.

What type of business owner are you when on vacation?

Setting the tone for your brand starts with one thing: show up as yourself: messy, uncertain, figure-it-out-as-you-go. THAT’S the version people connect with.

I just witnessed this firsthand at the Start With Yourself’ book tour.

because here’s what the book is really about…it’s about those “Old Thoughts.” you know the ones. the stale thinking. the outdated ideas. the set-in-stone rules about how you’re supposed to work, build, live, be. And Emma is saying: strike them from your mind.

Stop being a bystander in your own life.

Watching her and on that stage, talking about gathering yourself after failure, about being accountable but also forgiving yourself, about pushing hard for wins without apologizing for your dreams…message received and understood. They weren’t performing perfect versions of themselves. They were showing up as the messy, uncertain, still-figuring-it-out versions. And THAT’S the version that has power.

Real women asked real questions about corporate, about mothering while building, about knowing when to bet on yourself. And Emma answered with zero sugarcoating because that’s what ‘Start With Yourself’ is l it’s permission to take responsibility for your own thinking so you can finally take control of your life.

You can’t fake that kind of presence. People feel it.

I literally cannot wait to dig into this book. 📖
