Swedish-born chef Ebbe Vollmer was a guest on Tampa Bay's Bloom TV (WFLA) show, talking about his just-opened restaurant, eponymously dubbed EBBE, and sharing a recipe with viewers.

Chef Ebbe promises diners a very unique multi-course tasting experience, a fixed menu that features seafood, seasonal produce, a few meat courses, and some sweets. The restaurant’s small wine list contains a selection of wines from France, California, Germany and Austria to suit Chef Ebbe’s cooking style.

What’s more, EBBE will be a place to linger and savor. Ebbe recommends guests give themselves enough time to properly enjoy their meals – he recommends nothing less than three hours.

A bit more about Ebbe: His resume reads like a wannabe cook’s wish list, including sojourns helming kitchens at renowned Michelin-starred restaurants around the world such as Singapore’s Jaan and working alongside Gordon Ramsey at his beloved Royal Hospital Road in London.

Ebbe’s approach to making food here at EBBE will be in many ways as it was when he learned to cook at his Grandma’s hostelry and nearby woods of his hometown of Malmo, Sweden, which served as a kind of culinary kindergarten for what would become the family’s fifth generation chef. Find the very best fresh ingredients. Preferably local. And prepare them in a way that lets each element shine.

“I let ingredients speak for themselves,” he says. “I just enhance them with the lightest perfume of flavoring with spices.”

Chef Ebbe Vollmer joined Gayle Guyardo, the host of the global health and wellness show, Bloom, to whip up a healthy recipe. Dover Sole with Caviar and Charred Leeks: INGREDIENTS: 2 pieces of dover…

Miami Herald story about how attorneys at south Florida law firm Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen have filed a wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of the parents of 21-year-old Garrett Hughes, who was shot and killed in February outside a Key West bar by property owner Lloyd Preston Brewer III, who also faces second-degree murder and weapons charges in their son’s death.

The lawsuit, filed in Monroe County court by Garrett’s father John Hughes and mother Lesley Touzalin, also names as defendants several corporate entities controlled by Lloyd Brewer and his family, which own the property, for (among other allegations) furnishing alcohol to Brewer, “a known, habitual drunkard” with “a history of violence and weapons possession,” according to the complaint.

Monroe County State Attorney Dennis Ward has said that surveillance video showed Brewer, who was drunk, getting out of his car to confront Garrett, who was shirtless and unarmed.

What to know about the latest twist in the murder case.

ABC News story about how the law firm of Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen has filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Florida woman against the maker of EzriCare artificial tears, as well as her eye doctor and insurer, alleging that a bacterial infection caused by the eyedrops became so bad that doctors were forced to surgically remove one of her eyes, leaving her legally blind.
The woman, 68-year-old Clara Elvira Oliva, claims in her lawsuit that the drops she was prescribed to treat dry eyes related to her contact lenses caused an infection that worsened to include a corneal ulcer and fungus, and that further treatments failed, with her condition worsening so much that doctors were forced to surgically remove her right eye, replacing it with a plastic implant. Given her decreased visual acuity in her remaining left eye, she is now legally blind.

Renee Martray of South Carolina has severe and permanent corneal scarring resulting in vision loss. She says it's like trying to peer through eyeglasses that have been dipped in oil.
