🚨 Your website might be costing your organization supporters without you even realizing it.

Most mission-driven organizations focus heavily on social media, fundraising campaigns, and outreach… while their website quietly underperforms in the background.

But here’s the reality πŸ‘‡

Your website is often the FIRST interaction a donor, supporter, volunteer, or partner has with your mission.

And within seconds, they decide:
✨ Can I trust this organization?
✨ Do I understand what they do?
✨ Do I feel inspired to take action?

If the answer is no, they leave.

In our latest article, we break down 9 website design principles that help turn first-time visitors into long-term supporters, including:

πŸ“± Why mobile-first design is no longer optional
🎯 How clearer calls to action increase conversions
⚑ The hidden cost of slow page speed
πŸ’™ Trust-building elements that actually matter
πŸ“Š The metrics nonprofits should really be tracking
β™Ώ Why accessibility should be a priority from day one

A beautiful website means nothing if it does not guide people toward action.

The organizations making the biggest impact online are the ones designing intentionally around the supporter journey.

We are so proud. ✨

Go Do Good's own Michelle Sulzer was invited to serve as a guest judge for the IPRA Capstone Campaign Presentations at the University of South Florida's Zimmerman School of Advertising, and what the students delivered was extraordinary.

Four teams. Two nonprofit clients. A full semester of real agency work. And presentations that genuinely moved the room.

Students partnered with iMPACT Greater Goodβ„’ and the Peirano Family Foundation to develop complete, publish-ready advertising campaigns. From discovery to strategy to ex*****on β€” they owned every step of the process.

This is exactly the kind of bridge between education and real-world impact that we believe in at Go Do Good. Nonprofit organizations need skilled, mission-aligned marketers, and moments like this remind us that the pipeline is strong.

Thank you to Professor Ronda Clement, MBA, for building something truly special at USF and for including Michelle in this experience. πŸ’™

It started with a Spark. 🫘✨

Our client, Yourway Learning wanted our team to create a teaser video for Yourway Spark, a privacy-first AI companion built for teachers. Before we touched a single frame, we got to know the world of Spark ourselves. That meant meeting Beans and the cast of animated characters, understanding the product, and getting clear on the story worth telling.

From there, we built out the storyboard slide by slide and worked alongside the animation team to bring it all together. Hit play to see the teaser! 🎬

12 years ago, Marissa walked through our door with a paint-splattered resume, a skull with a bow, and a font choice that had absolutely no business being on a job application. πŸ˜„

We said yes anyway. Best decision we ever made.

What you might not know is that Marissa wasn't even on this path originally. It took a trip to Chicago, a chance to shadow at an ad agency, and one of those rare moments where something just clicks and you know your life is about to go in a completely different direction. She went home, changed her major, and found her way to us.

12 years later, she is one of the most important people at Go Do Good. She built the systems that keep us aligned. She has led accounts, grown relationships, and shown up for this team and our clients with her whole heart every single day. She is the person who makes sure the work actually works, and she does it with a level of care and intention that is genuinely rare.

We are so proud of you, Marissa. So grateful you took that trip to Chicago. So grateful you knocked on our door. 🧑

🌍 Big news. Big client partnership. Bigger impact.

Go Do Good is thrilled to announce their new client partnership with Mercy Chefs, a nonprofit delivering chef-prepared, restaurant-quality meals to communities in the middle of disaster and crisis around the world.

This is exactly the kind of work we exist to support. 🍽️❀️

Mercy Chefs doesn't just show up. They show up with dignity. And as their reach continues to grow globally, their digital presence needs to match the scale and urgency of their mission.
That's where we come in.

We're building a brand new website for Mercy Chefs β€” and the scope goes far beyond a redesign. This is a full-scale digital transformation: persona development, a comprehensive messaging framework, advanced UX strategy, and interactive programming that sets a new standard for what a nonprofit digital presence can be. We're not reinventing their brand β€” we're amplifying it, so every element reflects the growth, strength, and global scale of what Mercy Chefs has built. Because when the mission is this big, the platform has to match it.

Because awareness alone isn't enough. When people land on your digital front door, they need to know exactly how to step in and feel compelled to do it.

When impact is this real, how it shows up online matters.

We believe mission-driven organizations deserve marketing and digital experiences that are as powerful as the work they do. This partnership is a reflection of that belief in action.

Stay tuned, the new Mercy Chefs website is in development now. πŸ™Œ

πŸŽ‰ The team is growing β€” meet Daniela, our newest Brand Designer.

We're beyond excited to welcome our newest team member, and honestly? She's exactly the kind of person Go Do Good was built to work with.

Daniela is a UI/UX Brand Designer with over a decade of experience turning big ideas into visuals that stop the scroll, build brands, and move people to action. She's led creative teams across multiple continents, directed campaigns for global names like L'OrΓ©al and Maybelline, and built UI/UX experiences that actually work, not just look good.

Her superpower? Designing clarity through research, empathy, and purpose. (Sound familiar? πŸ‘€ She fits right in.)

When she's not crafting visuals that make your audience feel something, you'll find her on a long drive with the windows down, buried in a good book, at a live concert losing her mind to her favourite band or making absolutely sure her morning coffee is perfect before the day begins β˜•

Oh, and she's a proud dog mom of three. 🐾 So yes, the Good in Go Do Good just got furrier.

Daniela, we are SO glad you're here. Let's go make some beautiful, meaningful work together.

πŸ‘ Drop a welcome in the comments, she reads every single one!

Are you building your marketing budget from the bottom up or the top down? πŸ“Š

If you're starting with a list of "things we want to do" instead of organizational goals, you're probably wasting money. πŸ’Έ
Here's what we've learned working with mission-driven organizations:

The ones that maximize impact don't have the biggest budgets. They have the most strategic ones. 🎯

They know their Customer Acquisition Cost down to the dollar.

They've audited their channels and cut the ones that generate vanity metrics but no real action. They've built content repurposing systems that get 5x the mileage from every piece they create. ♻️

And most importantly? They're not afraid to reallocate funds quarterly when something isn't working. πŸ”„

We just published a comprehensive guide covering 12 strategies for building a marketing budget with zero waste, including:
βœ“ The marketing audit process that reveals what's actually working πŸ”
βœ“ How to prioritize high-ROI channels over shiny new tactics πŸ’°
βœ“ Free and low-cost tools that mission-driven teams should be using πŸ› οΈ
βœ“ Why marketing automation is the key to doing more with less ⚑
βœ“ Building in-house capabilities that reduce long-term costs πŸ“ˆ

If you're a marketing leader at a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, this guide will help you build a budget that actually drives results. ✨

🚨 CONTROVERSIAL TAKE: Your donors don't care about your mission first.

Let me say it louder for the people in the back: Emotional brand connection comes BEFORE mission alignment in donor decision-making. And the data proves it.

Here's what nobody wants to admit πŸ‘‡

67% of donors say they gave because they "FELT connected" to a cause. Not because they analyzed your impact metrics. Not because they studied your program efficiency. They felt something.

πŸ’” The hard truth? There are 1.5 million nonprofits in the US alone. You all have compelling missions. So why do donors choose YOU?

It's not your mission statement. It's your BRAND.

🎯 Your brand is the emotional promise you make before donors ever read your impact report. It's the identity they buy into when they support you. It's the story they tell themselves about who they become when they give.

And yet most organizations completely miss this. They lead with:
βœ… Mission statements
βœ… Statistics about the problem
βœ… Program lists
βœ… Service descriptions

But they forget to create the emotional connection that actually opens wallets.

πŸ“Š Real results when orgs get this right:
β€’ 41% increase in email open rates
β€’ 2.3x improvement in donation conversions
β€’ 67% boost in donor retention
β€’ 28% larger average gifts

Look at the winners: charity: water leads with "100% of your donation funds clean water." St. Jude promises "No family ever pays." The Humane Society makes you feel like a hero.

Mission second. Feeling first. πŸ”₯

The organizations dominating donor mindshare aren't the ones with the best missions. They're the ones with the strongest brand promises BACKED by credible mission delivery.

🎀 Here's the mic drop: If you have to choose between mission-perfect messaging and brand-consistent messaging, choose brand every time.

Why? Because a donor who connects with your brand will stick around to learn your mission. A donor who bounces off bland mission-speak never gets far enough to care.

Your mission is your foundation. Your brand is your megaphone. Time to turn up the volume. πŸ“’

🚫 Growth doesn’t always mean more people.
Especially in nonprofits.

The uncomfortable truth
Most organizations don’t need to scale headcount; they need to scale systems.

More staff without clarity leads to more meetings, slower decisions, and quiet burnout.

Real impact grows when
✨ Work is repeatable
✨ Ownership is clear
✨ Processes do the heavy lifting

If hiring is your only growth strategy, your impact will always hit a ceiling.
