Do you want more customers?
If you are like most businesses, you more than likely fail to focus on one of these categories when marketing your business:
✔️ existing demand - people who are already in-market and currently searching for the products or services you offer.
✔️demand creation - people who have no idea that your products or services even exist, that they need them or how they will enhance their life.
Over the last 20 years, my experience is that MOST businesses focus only on the low hanging fruit of “demand capture” - literally fighting for scraps with their competitors to convert people who already need and want their products or services. Usually, this means the lowest price wins when proper branding isn’t taking place. If that’s the case, customers may not be loyal, and aren’t choosing your business because of reputation. 😢
When creating demand for your products or services - you are quite literally opening a persons eyes to a whole new world. Teaching, inspiring, motivating them to consider something completely out of their comfort zone, price range or understanding.
Both strategies of demand capture and demand creation have very important benefits for how you market your business, and will introduce new customers to your business when used with consistency.
