If someone asked ChatGPT or Gemini to recommend a business like yours in your area… would you show up?

And if you did—what would it say about you?

As more people use AI to research and choose local businesses, this matters more than most people realize.

I’m doing a quick AI Referral Test to check:

✅ Whether your business gets recommended
✅ What AI says about you
✅ Who shows up instead if you don’t

Want me to run it for your business?

Comment YES + your business name and city (or DM me if you prefer).

Your customer reviews might be more valuable than you think. 👀

Instead of just collecting them, try dropping them into ChatGPT and asking:

“What patterns do you see?”

You might uncover:

⭐ What customers consistently love
⚠️ Frustrations that keep coming up
💬 The exact words customers use to describe you
💡 Opportunities you’ve been overlooking

Think of it as a mini focus group using feedback you already have.

OpenAI recently launched a Small Business Program with more ideas for putting ChatGPT to work in your business:

What could your reviews be telling you?"

If your leads doubled tomorrow… would your business handle it smoothly?

We all want growth: more traffic, more leads, more customers.

But there’s a point where “more” turns into:

❌ slower replies
❌ missed follow-ups
❌ packed schedules
❌ longer hours
❌ details falling through the cracks

That’s not progress. That’s pressure.

Sometimes the bottleneck isn’t getting people in the door.
It’s what happens after they arrive: response time, qualification, follow-up, and delivery.

Before you pour energy into the next campaign, ask:
Is my business ready to serve more people well?

Sometimes the smartest move isn’t adding more water to the bucket.

It’s patching the leaks first.

Question for you: are you in GROWTH mode or CAPACITY mode right now?

Comment one word: GROWTH or CAPACITY.

Heads up for local service businesses (plumbers, HVAC, electricians, roofers, etc.):

Google is changing Local Services Ads - the ads where you pay when someone actually contacts you.

They’re moving LSA campaigns into the bigger Google Ads system, which means Google’s automation will have more control over when your business shows up.

Here’s the part that matters:
Google will rely even more on the information it has about you to decide if you’re a good match for a searcher:

✅ Services you offer
✅ Service areas / location
✅ Reviews (recent + consistent)
✅ Website clarity + trust
✅ Accurate business info

If you run LSAs yourself, it’s worth paying attention right now.

If someone runs them for you, ask them how this impacts your leads and reporting.

Question: Are you currently running Local Services Ads or relying mostly on organic + Google Business Profile?

👇 If someone asked you right now where your best customers come from, what would you say?

Most business owners say referrals. And they're probably right.

But probably isn't a strategy.

If you don't know exactly where your best customers are finding you, you can't do more of what's working. You can't stop spending money on what isn't. And you can't grow on purpose.

You're just hoping the phone keeps ringing.

The businesses pulling ahead right now aren't necessarily doing more marketing. They just know which parts are actually working and they're doubling down on those.

If you've ever said "I think most of my business comes from referrals" and realized you couldn't actually prove it, that's worth a 15-minute conversation.

Drop a comment or send me a message and we'll take an honest look at what's actually driving your business.

A 5-star review takes a customer about 3 minutes to write.

It takes months to earn.

The follow-up text. The small extra you threw in. The problem you solved without being asked. The way you remembered their name the second time.

That's what's behind every great review. Not luck. Not tactics. Just showing up like it matters, over and over, until someone takes time out of their day to tell the world you're worth it.

Trust is built in the quiet moments. The review is just the receipt.

(Tag a business in your community that does this right.)

"Let me guess… You were told to “blog for SEO.”

So you published keyword-packed posts and hoped the algorithm would do the rest.

But content marketing isn’t about chasing search engines.
It’s about supporting the moment someone is deciding whether to trust you.

When people buy something that matters, they don’t just click and purchase. They:

ask questions
compare options
look for proof
check credibility

If your content doesn’t help with those steps, it won’t convert—no matter how optimized it is.

Use this simple test: Your content should…

Answer real customer questions (the ones behind the hesitation)
Build trust before the sale (so you’re not “proving yourself” on the call)
Guide decisions at every stage (curious → considering → ready)

Blogging for SEO is a tactic. Content marketing is a strategy.

Question: Is your content helping people make better decisions—or just trying to rank?"

⚡ Customers have changed.

They don't want a response tomorrow.
They don't want a response this afternoon.

They want a response now.

Whether it's a website inquiry, text message, Facebook message, or missed call, speed matters more than ever.

The businesses winning today aren't always the cheapest or the biggest.

They're often the ones that respond first.

How quickly does your business respond to a new lead?

"Where do you keep your best customer testimonials… your pricing notes… your “how we do things” process?

If you’re like me, it’s scattered across emails, notes, and random folders.

I started using Google NotebookLM and it’s been a game-changer:

You upload your docs (customer notes, proposals, checklists, etc.) and then just ask questions like:

“What did this customer say about our work?”
“What’s our rush job process?”
“How did I price that job last year?”

It answers using your own files—so it’s not pulling random info from the internet.

And yes… it’s free: https://notebooklm.google/

What’s one thing you’d love to find in 10 seconds instead of 10 minutes?"
