🎒 Join us for our annual Project Kid Connect Backpack & School Supply Giveaway happening Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9:00am-12:00pm at the Lake County Sheriff’s Office South Lake District Office located at 15855 SR 50 in Clermont.

✏️ Children must be present and be a Lake County student to receive a free backpack and school supplies. Supplies are first come, first served while supplies last.

There will also be free food and drinks, fun activities, Dunk-A-Deputy, and more for families to enjoy throughout the morning!

This event is sponsored by the Lake County Sheriff’s Charities, Inc. We hope to see everyone there as we help local students get ready for the new school year! 📚

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Bonnie Whicher and her daughter for a tour of our new facility! 💙

While Bonnie may not call herself a hometown hero, we certainly do. Through her own business and generous support, she has continually had our back and poured into our mission in so many meaningful ways.

It was such an honor to show her around and share all that’s happening here. Bonnie truly has a heart of gold, and we are so thankful for her kindness, encouragement, and unwavering support of our community. ✨
