The final day of the 2026 Taylor Studio Tour is today from 12-5. Pick up a map downtown at the McCrory Timmerman building or use our digital maps available on our website-- there is both a PDF version and a Google map.

2026 Taylor Studio Tour Artist Kayla Rangel

Kayla will be showing her work at Artisan's Mercantile in Old Taylor High

"My affinity for plants, gardening, and the natural world guide my artistic practice in acrylic, watercolor, bead embroidery, and most recently, stained glass. The same passion led my husband and myself to reside on a rural farm outside of Taylor—space to admire, connect, and grow with nature. As I create, I aim to capture and hold space for my own experience with themes of whimsy, nostalgia, and peaceful, intimate reflection of nature’s beauty, in all her finite details. Much of my artwork has served as connecting, meaningful gifts to loved ones, or adorns my own walls, but in the last handful of years, I have worked to claim my title as an artist whose work may be appreciated by a wider audience of strangers (whoa, vulnerable). I am eager to continue building community with other artists, as I have with involvement at The Artisan’s Mercantile in Taylor. Looking forward creatively, I hope to broaden my subject matter to evoke and connect with deeper emotions, as well as continue exploring mediums (next up, pottery)."

Briana will be showing her work at Ripple&Rose Cafe

"My work explores texture, color, and the space between the familiar and the abstract. I primarily work in fiber art, creating abstract embroidery pieces that invite close, contemplative viewing. I also enjoy experimenting with watercolor, collage, and mixed media, allowing each piece to evolve organically and respond to the materials themselves.

I’m drawn to the meditative process of threading, layering, and building depth, and I hope my work offers viewers a moment to pause, reflect, and find something unexpected in the details. "

Cici will have her work at Downtown Yoga in downtown Taylor.

Cici’s work is a celebration of the Texas landscape, captured through a lens of vibrant, living light. A lifelong painter and illustrator, she treats glass not just as a craft, but as a medium for storytelling. Her pieces translate the organic rhythms of the natural world—the cool depths of Barton Springs, the steady silhouette of the mountains, and the simple beauty of local flora—into layered compositions of color and texture.
