As you might have noticed, I have not been posting regularly on this page, though I am still working one-on-one with clients, recently I have been granted an opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream in the culinary world.
It all started with this video below…
It was an honor to audition in the Masterchef kitchen and earn that coveted white apron.
If you would like to follow my journey as I cook with all my heart on team GenX, tune in on Wednesday nights on Fox (check local listings) and the next day It is available on Hulu.
To say that this has been a surreal, and magical ride, is an understatement.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to represent my heritage, my family, my community, and my generation.

I am still available for coaching, but I am limited to the amount of clients I will be taking in the upcoming months.
Feel free to message me if you have any social media questions or if you would like a quick social media audit.
Now back to the kitchen!

🇷🇸🇲🇽Growing up as a Serbian and Mexican,
I was blessed with a home filled with diverse and beautiful traditions.

Today marks the celebration of Epiphany and "Badnje Vece" (Christmas Eve in the Serbian Orthodox tradition).
It also is ‘Día de los Reyes’ (Three Kings Day in Mexico).

Ricky, grew up with all of these traditions as well, and I did my best to honor and teach him about each of them.

Tonight, we will cut the Rosca, and all eagerly anticipate who finds the little plastic Baby Jesus in the ‘Rosca’.

As I measure the ingredients to make the ‘Rosca de Reyes’ - Rick will head out to find a ‘Badnjak’ (oak tree limb which is traditionally received from church) just as my Deda -my mom's dad - did every year when I was a little girl.

🤴Feliz Dia de los Reyes &
🇷🇸Sretno Badnje Vece!

Hey Facebook friends! 🌟
I've been a bit silent lately, embracing this season to reconnect, recharge, and reinvigorate.

Amidst this, I couldn't miss celebrating National App Day! 📱 I have to admit, as a genX’er, life was simpler without cell phones and apps, but now they're part of my business and every day life.

Before unwinding for the evening, I want to hear from you!

❓What are your go-to and favorite apps?

Let's share some tech love!

And remember, it's totally okay to take a break from the holiday hustle. 🎶 Turn on that music app, dance to jingle bells, and enjoy the little celebrations in everyday moments. Cheers to the season of joy! 🎄

🍋Today is National Lemon Juice Day! 🍋
I realize that it is a bit strange that there is a day dedicated to the juice of a lemon.. but I have to tell you,

🍋I LOVE lemons!🍋

Growing up, we always had lemon in our tea,
as a teen and young adult, I would put lemon juice on ALL (yes, I said all) of my salty meals - in Mexico I grew up on lemon & tajin before they were a 'thing' 😅!
I even grew up watching my Serbian great grandmother use it as a 'cure all' for aches, pains and bug bites.

🍋So, to commemorate this odd and tangy "national day",
my little winged friend (and travel companion) Freya,
is swooping in with a refreshing take on social media...
And yes, we will be using lemons to talk about social media!

If you are a small business owner using social media, I would like you to view what you post as lemon zest and juice.

Why? Because your posts should awaken the senses and leave a tangy, memorable impression.

Instead of dousing your audience with sales pitches - which lets face it, leave a bitter taste...

Instead try infusing a bit of zest into your content:

🍋Share valuable tips.
🍋Behind-the-scenes peeks.
🍋Heartwarming stories of how YOUR product or service helped someone.

Just like lemon juice adds a burst of flavor to food,
your posts should add value and connect with your audience on a personal level.

Think of every post as a squeeze of lemon (my favorite is to put lemon juice on watermelon...sooooo goood!!) – genuine, natural, and enticing.

🍋Offer up a slice of your expertise,
🍋Squeeze in some engaging visuals, and
🍋Let your personality shine brightly.

Remember, it's not about just selling, it's about serving – nourishing your audience with content that quenches their curiosity and leaves them craving more.

So, grab those virtual lemons and start creating posts that are as refreshing as a pitcher of ice cold lemonade on a hot summer day!

Try turning your social media posts into zesty delights that truly serve, leaving everyone eager to take another sip of what you're offering.

Stay citrusy, stay awesome and Let's FLY on social media! 🍋✨ 🧚

🍪 Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!
(Yes, it's a thing! 😅)
Make sure to celebrate by baking, buying or sharing this delicious treat!
Weird fact side-note :
I used to love eating my cookies with orange juice😆 (really have never cared for milk much)...

I'd love to know:
❓Do you like your chocolate chip cookies with or without walnuts?

A fond memory post from 2020.
Man was that a crazy year!

I remember at the beginning of the lock-down so many small businesses were scrambling to create an online presence and didn't know where to start.

It was a confusing time for all of us..
So many questions, so many challenges..

The local Chamber of Commerce President and my dear friend Ida, reached out to me and asked me what could be done to support these mom & pop businesses that were struggling to pay the bills and had to learn how to pivot and create a stronger online presence - fast!

We both got to work, and put together a plan..

We all worked together, helping each other navigate the unknown..

In total, we supported over 30 businesses with their social media strategies and online presence.

I was able to offer reduced as well as no-cost social media coaching sessions for a little over a year.

I taught classes and workshops about how to use Zoom, creating a business page, creating a social media strategies and even how to design your own graphics on Canva.

To say that I felt blessed that I was able to support so many small business owners, is an understatement.

To be of service during a time when the world felt like it was tipping upside-down,
was an honor.

In this picture, I was surprised with an award at the Annual Chamber Installation Gala that year.

I felt the most profound sense of gratitude and my heart was humbled, but most of all, I was honored that I was called to be of service to my fellow small business owners supporting them during those challenging times.. Many of them have since become dear friends.

Most importantly, this memory is near and dear to my heart because in it, I am receiving the award from my friend, my mentor and then President of our local Chamber of Commerce.

She passed shortly after this picture was taken..
I miss her dearly, every day. I was so blessed for the years she filled my life with laughter, support, advice and her precious friendship.

That plaque and her picture both sit on a bookshelf next to my desk, and they are a daily reminder that being of service to others is not just a gesture; it is a reflection of our shared humanity.

If you knew Ida, you know, she was a true example of a woman dedicated to the daily service to others.

The weather is finally cooling down and though today I am a bit under the weather myself, I love watching the many dragonflies zooming by.🧚

I enjoy using the dragonfly as a visual teaching tool with my social media clients.

This dragonfly image is one I use often, and can teach us as small business owners a LOT about social media.. it might sound strange.. but here is the reasoning:

Every morning the dragonfly is weighed down by droplets of dew on its body..
It cannot fly until all of this moisture has evaporated.

So it must:

🧚‍♂️pause,
🧚‍♂️take a moment before taking flight.

🏃‍♀️As small business owners, we often hit the ground running in the morning!

⏳So much to do.. in so little time!

So we forget about the importance of posting on social media with intention.

✨As the late Wayne Dyer said, “Our Intention creates our reality”.

When creating content on social media for your business, do you set business intentions every day?
🤔Or, do you just post to get it over with and check the box?

Our parents would tell us as children, “think before you speak or act.. take a moment”.

In the same way, before posting, think about:

🤔 What is my intention for this post?
🤔 Who am I speaking to?
🤔 What problem am I solving for my ideal client?

🧚‍♂️How will you pause before taking flight on social media today?

I invite you to join me, let’s challenge ourselves during the day to intentionally work on our social media marketing goals and presence by taking a pause and asking ourselves the above questions.

Are you ready to be intentional with your social media?

Have questions? Feel feee to reach out! I’m only a DM away!💜📱

Let’s FLY together on Social Media, by taking a moment to pause 💜🧚

🌺Have you ever had Spam Musubi?

The first time I tried this was when I was about 12 and it was one of those foods that you remember the taste, but can’t quite remember the name or where you had it.

Fast forward 40 years (wow, I feel old!), Mano Lujan (The owner of Red House BBQ,
The Shed and now Island Grindz) posted about it, and though I have never had the pleasure of trying the ones he prepares (which I am sure are phenomenal like everything he and his awesome staff make!) his post reminded me of the name and that memorable flavor.

Recently, we ate them during our trip to Oahu. And it was like a little trip back in time..they were so good!

Today I was REALLY craving some Spam Musubi.

This was my first time making them, it was fun and it gave me a chance to play a bit in the kitchen!

I don’t have a Musubi mold yet, so I went ‘old school’😆 and used the Spam tin.

Now, I know many of you will tell me that Spam isn’t healthy (I know., I know..😆) but I don’t eat like this often. 😁

So here are my three little creations.
I ate one and saved two for when Rick gets home from work.

They are made with teriyaki spam, brown rice (gotta keep it healthy some way! Lol) egg, furikake, nori (seaweed) and one of them has avocado.

If you are curious about the origins of this yummy little snack, please go look it up, it’s really interesting actually.
I didn’t wanna make this post too long, with a culinary history lesson.😂

Thanks for coming to my mini food blog for today.. 😁Aloha! 🌺🤙

🙁Do you suffer from WOETP ?

'What On Earth To Post' is a common condition with small business owners.

👉These are the symptoms:

▶️Sitting with your phone struggling to come up with engaging content.

▶️Feeling like you need to ‘go viral’ and create that ‘perfect’ post
▶️Don’t want to sound too ‘salesy’
▶️You have limited time to post on social, so sometimes you don’t do it at all
▶️Not knowing what to post because you feel like you aren’t clever or creative enough - or you just don't know what to post..

If you have one or more of these symptoms, you might be suffering from WOETP.
