Some assignments seem easy, but they can be hard to crack. As in, still-stuck-on-the-intro-15-hours-in hard.

As a professional writer, I've had my fair share of these challenges, and I actually (kind of ๐Ÿคช) like them. More importantly, I know how to handle them.

My clients deserve the best, and it's incredibly fulfilling to deliver for them. It helps me flex creative muscles I've worked decades to strengthen. I had one such assignment last week, and I felt comfortable enough to share this with the client. Let me tell you...when I opened my inbox today this response had me beaming!

2026 B2B content marketing trends... โœ๏ธโœจ

One thing I've been noticing lately is a shift in tone - especially blogs - toward more conversational language. The kind of language we're seeing more of was unthinkable 10 years ago in B2B content. I personally think it's long overdue. People want to read things that feels real. They don't want to be talked at. It's as simple as that.

From a writer's perspective, this is something I'm super excited about. It's also a fun challenge. In many ways, it takes more intention and strategy. I hope to see this trend grow as we move forward.

The other thing Iโ€™m seeing more of? Emojis in B2B content. Some clients are about it, others aren't. What do you think? Do they add personality, or push it too far? ๐Ÿ‘€

Another week of work in the books, and the first full week without our sweet fur baby.

Earlier this month, our beloved pup, Ernie, took a sudden and devastating turn and was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Losing him so unexpectedly while still showing up for work, deadlines, and two littles has been a whirlwind.

Many of my clients have โ€œmetโ€ Ernie over the years, usually popping into video calls and stealing the spotlight ๐Ÿฉต It's still so shocking, his absence is deeply felt.

To every client who trusted me, every mentor who guided me, and every person who has encouraged me - ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฌ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ. This business exists because of your belief and support.

The industries I serve have changed dramatically over the last decade. So have I โœจ Iโ€™m very proud to still be here doing meaningful work, serving incredible clients, and building a business that fits my life as a mom and professional.

Not posting in a while would be an understatement. Actually, it would be one of my ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ญ๐˜บ statements on Facebook this year๐Ÿซฃ But the stillness of social media stands in stark contrast to what 2025 brought AB Content Marketing.

There was a steady stream of blogs, case studies, and long-form assets powering strategic campaigns, acquisition, and engagement across the funnel. The year ended with a bang, completing a 15-page annual market trends report for one client - a large-scale project that required close collaboration across multiple SME teams - and a 2026 buyerโ€™s guide for another.

I'm cherishing all of my blessings this holiday season: the ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ต amazing clients a content marketer could ask for, their deep trust in me to execute and spearhead strategy, and the rare gift of doing this work I love with the flexibility that keeps me present with my little ones.

Microbusinesses may be small, but their impact is mighty (I would know, I run one myself). I just finished a meeting with a fellow microbusiness owner and the energy was electric.

Let me tell you, these folks don't always have the loudest voice in the room, but they have the most meaningful things to say.
