OMG did you hear that the cast of friends makes $20 million a year off the Friends series in residuals! As an agent we get talent residuals on jobs we book all the time and reuses on non-union jobs. We have had thousands of talent get both from our agency and would love our talent to comment and mention a reuse or residual check you got. Just a reminder you don't want to sign up for all sites that are out there. Seriously you all need to have some standards I saw a post and was like OMG. (Compensation will come in the form of a Visa Gift card, which we will activate on site for you. While the vast majority of cards will be $50, multiple will be in the amount of $100, $250, $500 and $1,000 to some lucky random attendees.)That was payment for an industrial film job $50 the vast majority. I don't need you to be a warm body on set, locking down a day you can miss an audition, callback or job for a $50 Visa card think about the big picture. I will be posting talent rates in Feb but right now I just want to point out how bad this is and my talent should not be listed on any local sites for auditions in AZ except for ASU films( contact Misti for that info/email brand new database as of Jan 2026 to get into). Nationally and locally we do work off AA and CN sites and our agency site database. If the folks working the market don't have standards it is not good for the market. Thankfully these casting directors do Garth Williams Casting, Julie Cook with AZ Casting Connection, Bella Hibbs Good Faith Casting and Phx Casting are the main casting directors who we work with anyone else I do not recommend you list on their site, a site with jobs at that level above. We only do jobs that really pay you a day rate and usage with a check. If they are a professional casting director or director on a legit project they should want to work with our agency and each of you this has been standard for over 3 decades. Our experience is if they don't it's often because the rate is not good or usage is not truthful or is a buyout. Remember when you work non-union jobs and with no agent you do take a risk on so many different levels because we review more then just the pay. As a agency we have gone after more money for our talent so many times and have gotten it in reuses that clients did not pay on their own. Simply put you sign with our agency for quality jobs and to have someone look out for you or your child so you get paid what you deserve. These are sites you can find some work off of that are more established and will have TV and Film out of state. Our talent know we have them covered in AZ and all jobs shooting in AZ needs to come to the agency if they find things on their own but everyone else should get an agent if you want to do this right.

Industry scams to watch out for and worth sharing on FB to save other talent! Don't be a victim in the future! Help others!
* You must add your agents contact info in your address book. Both email and cell number. Always confirm the person you are texting or emailing matches their contact info. HUGE red flag!!!
*At some point you should be able to talk to your agent by phone about the subject matter, no agency/staff should not be avail so when you see RED FLAGS call/text them. If something doesn't feel right trust that and investigate more. Ask questions.
*You will never be offered payment ahead of time! Nothing not even $200 on a $2000 job. This Never happens so do not send over any personal info before a shoot.
*OMG folks meet in a public place, Not a hotel room, Not a house or apartment. Don't find yourself alone with anyone you do not know very well and in a confined spot like a car ride. Absolutely ask for a bottle water so you know nothing has been put into it.

Unfortunately these scams are happening now and they are finding actors on social media saying you are booked and we need to send partial payment or asked for personal info.

Leave a comment if you saw a scam before and what it was. Over a couple years ago a NY photographer's name and company was being used in a scam and I personally called him and he confirmed it was not him but someone else was using his name but I saw to many red flags to not do my research.

It's a new year and we are going to make sure it is a great one. We have lots of networking events coming up between now and June so please make time to get out, get seen and network. APA has their yearly Annual membership meeting Jan 29th. Register to attend prior to the event and pay the fee if you are not a member already. This is for more of our adult talent especially if they want a career at this. The biz side is often overlooked by talent and it's a game changer. This business is about who you know so go out and get to know some folks in 2026.
Thankfully we have talent who do this and are booking great jobs.

Join us for the APA Annual Membership Meeting! This event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow members and other industry professionals, meet APA's current leadership, and hear about the organization's plans for the coming year.

Everyone should have current headshots (nothing older then 2 years), sign up for acting classes and make an appointment to see Bill for your yearly update. He will audit all 3 websites you are marketed on and we give you a submission report. Don't just sit around at home this year get out and network more.

Our family wants to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. If you celebrate Hanukkah we hope you had a wonderful time with your family/friends while you celebrated the last week. Mark you calendars April 9-19 is the Phx film festival. Industry networking night will be April 10th, you should go. If you do not have a reel then you should network more to get on more film sets. We attend lots of industry events each year so our talent see us out and we encourage them to go out and network also! We have always made time for our talent so if you need to go out to lunch and brain storm or go for a walk to catch up we are that agency. I love how you all support each other! I saw a bunch of likes and comments below on the post I've been doing the past 2 weeks and that is another great reason to be with our agency. You have a village here within our agency and community of actors who support each other. We go to so many events all year long and last year 2024 was the first year I think we didn't go to a play. (grandmother had terminal cancer) However we did still go out to events and make time to see you. We postponed our annual agency Holiday party because Dani's mom had just passed away and moved it 3 weeks later. It was hard but again all the hugs and love we got was such a blessing/gift. It was an uplifting night that our family needed. Dani loves to sing!

Still wrapping up 2024 jobs like you are gifts this week. These were some films our talent were on Unstoppable, Sintern, Diamond Deputy Agent, Star People, Aescus and I Didn’t Do It. We auditioned in 2024 for The Cleaning Lady, Pulse and The Boroughs out of NM. I attached a sample of the amount of TV and Film auditions our talent are being submitted for. We have our talent selected to audition for jobs shooting all over the world like in Australia, New Zealand, London so we encourage all our talent 5 yrs old and older to have a valid passport since we have booked speaking parts and have sent our talent out of the country for work with all expenses covered. Working NM has been more successful for our agency booking talent on Breaking Bad, 2Guns, In Plain Sight, Longmire and Better Call Saul to name a few. You can see my notes on the side of photo.
