If you are in the mood for a smash burger and fries - you can find one of the best in central Texas in downtown Belton (not to mention a bunch of other delicious stuff). Full disclosure - we were honored to work with our friends, Priscilla Zubizarreta Linnemann and Michael Linnemann, and create the logo for their newest venture. Also, a huge shout out to Langley Metal Works for an amazing job in fabricating this sign. Another full disclosure, I fully blame the Linnemanns for my not so great Lipid panel at my last check-up but damn, these burgers are good...

While driving the parched countryside of central Texas, we decided a visit to the Wilson Valley Mercantile was a good idea. I was wrong, it was a great idea. Nice folks, great A.C., and most importantly, delicious drinks. Thanks to Erica and John Evans for their hospitality!

Every year I am reminded that success is seldom an accident and our long-term clients and great friends Michael Linnemann and Priscilla Zubizarreta Linnemann have done it again. Level 3 in Belton, TX is an amazing coworking and event center that is as gorgeously designed and appointed as it is a space that enhances creativity and teamwork. I am always amazed by their ability to take an idea from concept to fruition with the highest levels of excellence on the outcome. As always, they have a team of employees that enhance their business and Terrisha certainly continues that tradition.

Special cheers to you guys this year - I'll bring the bourbon and champagne. For those that read this post, do yourself a favor and check out Level 3.

Living in central Texas has many blessings. Our quality of life here is exceptional and for a city of less than 90,000, one of those blessings is an arts community that rivals municipalities many times our size. Today we celebrate the Temple Civic Theatre and their commitment to the future of live theatre. We want to welcome and congratulate Natasha Tolleson as the new Managing and Artistic Director of this amazing institution and look forward to her energy and leadership. I have not been a very big fan of SNL for several decades but every now and again they throw a skit together that makes me laugh out loud... I particularly love it when the cast starts to laugh at their own humor. Kudos to the writers on this one..

For those of you older than 30 (or so) - if you were like me, more than once you came home from school and your mother had been informed via the pick-a-little-talk-a-little communication system that you had been up to no good. This was the pre-cursor to search history targeting. In a nutshell, you shared some data with Sally and Sally told Betty who told everyone, including you mother's best friend, Wilma who immediately called your mother because even back then, Wilma didn't like you very much. Anyway, none of this germane to my admission of guilt. I received a text from a close friend in the industry asking, "What's up with your social media strategy?" Busted....

Yes, I have done a pretty pathetic job of using the power of social media (Facebook in particular) to promote Concentus Media. We have had plenty to celebrate and survived the past 20 months of Coviderationness, albeit with some changes in strategy - for ourselves and our clients. A special thanks to Steve Kleypas and his talented daughter, Amy, for ensuring our clients are visible and viable on many social media platforms. Anyway - we are here, we are working hard, we continue to create and design, and more than anything, we continue to have fun.

I promise to do better and please, don't tell my Mom...
