Metro Sign & Awning knows a sign is an important, multi-year investment in your business. We also know a sign's materials and craftsmanship determine its durability, operating cost and ultimate ROI. Our signs, produced in our New England factory, are made of the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, and come with a three-year Gold warranty. We also offer a five-year warranty package, which

offers expense protection - every part of the sign is covered, including consumables such as lightbulbs - and change protection, which means if you choose to change your sign over the five years, a pro-rated portion of your original investment will be applied to your new sign or awning. High quality materials and workmanship, competitive pricing (we're generally less expensive than our major competitors), as well as prompt, professional service has led to our position as #84 on the Inc. list of fastest growing manufacturers in America. We work directly with businesses in the Boston metro area, expanding as far north as Concord, NH, for their individual signs and awnings. We also work with architects, general contractors, and property managers or other New England firms looking for a long-term, signage company to partner with.

Metro Sign is proud to have partnered once again with NES Group to deliver a complete signage package for Greenfield Savings Bank’s Easthampton location.

This project included a wide range of interior and exterior branding elements, from the monument sign and channel letters outside to wall graphics, vinyl applications, and dimensional lettering throughout the interior. We especially enjoyed working on the faux ice cream filled zip code channel letters. That’s not something you get to say every day. 😊

We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with NES Group and help bring Greenfield Savings Bank’s vision to life with signage that is both functional and visually impactful.

If you’re planning a monument sign or large exterior installation for the summer, the process starts earlier than most expect.

Permitting, structural planning, and fabrication timelines all need to align—and waiting too long can push projects back weeks or even months.

Starting early helps avoid delays and keeps everything moving smoothly.

Metro Sign works with Boston-area teams to plan ahead and keep projects on track.

Most signage delays don’t happen during installation—they start much earlier.

Local code requirements, zoning restrictions, and permitting details can slow projects down fast—especially when they’re not accounted for upfront.

In many cases, a single compliance issue can lead to redesigns, added costs, and weeks of delay.

The good news? These challenges are avoidable with the right planning.

We broke down the most common signage code mistakes—and how to avoid them—in our latest guide.

👉 If you’re planning a project in the Boston area, this is a must-read before you start.

Spring is here—and across the Boston metro area, commercial projects are moving fast.

If you’re planning exterior upgrades, metal canopies are one of the most effective ways to improve both function and visibility. They protect entrances from weather while reinforcing your building’s design and brand presence.

The key? Planning early. Permitting, structural requirements, and installation timelines all play a role in keeping projects on schedule.

Metro Sign works with architects and developers to streamline the entire process—from design through installation.

Many business owners assume signage is “just an expense.”

In reality, certain signage investments may qualify for Section 179 tax deductions, allowing businesses to expense the cost sooner instead of depreciating it over time.

What we often hear from clients: “I wish we’d known this before budgeting for the year.”

Timing, documentation, and project type all matter, and waiting too long can mean missing the benefit entirely. Learn how signage may support your broader tax strategy.
