Job: Design Center Client Advisor
The Design Center at Red River Lumber is hiring a Client Advisor to help customers bring their dream spaces to life. This is a consultative, relationship-driven position focused on guidance, product expertise, and delivering an exceptional client experience. If you enjoy design, working with people, and helping customers make confident decisions for their homes or projects, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
• Consult with homeowners, builders, and designers
• Guide selections across flooring, countertops, kitchens, baths, fireplaces, doors, windows, and more
• Lead clients through the showroom experience
• Prepare quotes, manage orders, and follow up consistently
• Build long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business
• Stay current on design trends and product knowledge
• Work closely with our sales and operations teams to ensure smooth project ex*****on
What We’re Looking For
• Strong communication and people skills
• Friendly, professional, and service-minded
• Interest in design, interiors, or home improvement
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
Experience & Qualifications
• 1–3+ years in customer service, retail, showroom, or home improvement sales preferred
• Experience with flooring, cabinets, countertops, windows/doors, or design a plus
• Basic computer skills and comfort with quoting/order systems
• Ability to read plans or measurements is helpful
• High school diploma or equivalent required
